Doc Rivers unhappy if Sterling stays on as owner...

    @SportsCenter: THIS JUST IN: Clippers CEO testifies Doc Rivers told him he doesn’t think he wants to continue as coach if Donald Sterling remains owner.

    If the Sterling trial for control of his assets lasts well into the season and he is still the owner. If this tweet is true, we need to do anything and everything in our power to trade for Doc and CP3.

    Am I the only person who thinks Doc is overrated? He's a good coach, but him coming to Houston doesn't turn them into instant contenders.

    Doc would not accept the "Moreyball" doctrine.... If Morey would drop it to get Doc, it would transform the team into a title contender.

    Ehh... Slightly, but I would be thrilled to have him here in Houston. I really think Doc can get the best out of Howard and Harden, much more than the idiot we have right now. Just look how much Griffin and Jordan improved this past year.

    I think coach K and team USA were big for Jordan. Griffin, well he's a stud. I do see your point though.

    It's not even the addition of Rivers that'd be very good, it's the loss of McHale that'd be excellent.

    Losing McHale is a huge positive, adding River is somewhat positive. That's two positives.

    If McHale is as clueless as so many people say, and Rivers is 'quite a good coach' THEN how would his addition not make us contenders?

    We have 2 'best at position' players in the league, and one of them happens to be one of the top 'closers' in the NBA, the other one of the best rim protectors - if Doc was worth his salt, championship, surely?
