I'm talking about that game itself..not the series or whole playoffs

LAC did what we did vs. POR the year before in round 1. Thoguht they could just "show up" after games 1-4. After Game 5, that should have ended. They didn't take the Rockets serious like we didn't take the Blazers serious.

To be quite fair, the Rockets didn't take LAC serious early on, either. Rockets realized what was up after game 1, then had to rotten 3rd quarters vs. LAC.

maybe they shouldn't have assembled a bonehead idiotic team. Paul has yet to make it to the CF and he is their leader...yea I think he took it pretty seriously.

Luck and home court advantage. Funny how that happens.

If he's unsure why his team didn't take the Rox seriously, perhaps he needs to look in the mirror.

Lol that says more about them than it does us. There's no excuse for not taking ANY Western Conference team in the playoffs seriously.

To be realistic Houston didn't take the CP3 less Clippers seriously even when we beat them. The series should have gone 2-0 in to LA Houston favor.

So the Clips coaches and players failed to prepare for the series. . . . The failure is theirs.

I kinda like that teams don't take us seriously. Its a mental weakness we can prey on. Please do keep underrating us.

    Lol.

That sounds a lot like the 1995 Orlando Magic. Just came off a 60+ win season saying "Why not us? Why not now?" Knocked off Jordan and the Bulls in what was then a strong Eastern Conference, and faced a sun-50 win, 6th seeded team in the Rockets. They didn't take it seriously and they lost the opener. Then they realized their trouble and got tight. Clippers did the same.

But, I absolutely think there's something wrong about it. Because that mentality makes you lose. When a team feels entitled, they (1) become overconfident and (2) get tight when they realize they're in trouble.

Whenever I made an excuse my dad would always tell me
" Excuses are monuments that build bridges that lead to nowhere"
These quotes by Doc and clippers in a nutshell is the reason why they cannot and will not win a championship in the current regime.
But nonetheless its good article though

Doc Rivers can **** himself for the disrespect but he has a point

Clips took Houston lightly just like others before last season even began and paid the price. That's not Houston's fault/ Rockets did what we had to shut up the clippers

That's why doc picked up every player we dropped.

They didn't take us serious.... Being 1 of 9 teams to ever receive that big of a ass in nba history is kind of serious

I'm glad we have Ty, he seems to be ready to talk a lot of ****. "If you don't go deep in the playoffs you aren't a tier 1 point guard... Cough cough, b**** goblin lookin ass Paul

    Well Matt Barnes said otherwise..

Sorry for the double post but difference between Doc and Morey

Doc: first to call josh to dick ride for embarrassing him in the playoffs, gets prigs, gets hays, has to go to Jordan's house with his players to cry and asking for forgiveness

Morey: Josh wants a secured role, morey don't play that ****, signs Lawson

Clips are the new Stockton/Malone/Sloan - Jazz of this era.

Hate that team more and more.. from piece of crap flopping CP3 to their overrated pos coach to annoying as griffin.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did. But, it won't matter if they punk out in the playoffs again.
