At this point I really don't think it matters much what seed you are considering how good the playoff bound teams are right now
Do I want the Rockets to have the best record in the Western Conference, likely making us a 60 win team? Yes! Is there anything that could change my mind? No!
Just wanted to establish that the question is posed to us as fans and has nothing to do with the mindset of the Rockets or who they fear or don't fear. But rather what we as fans are worried about, the top seed or avoiding OKC. Awesome response! You two (among others) have figuratively BIG BALLS as fans and while I also voted for top seed I'm sure a hell of a lot more conflicted about it lol.
In fact, I also totally love and understand the Hell No! responses too. needless to say I'm waffling on this question.
we're not goin got be the #1 seed anyway, that extremely unrealistic. there's plenty other things we should be focusing on.
It depends on what your goal is, winning the championship or getting past the 1st round. Unlike the Leastern conference, there are no "cupcake" teams in the west. I say f**k it, lets win as many games during the regular season and crush whoever stands in our way. Alos DM will add another star or quality role players this year. I believe this Rockets team can beat any team when healthy.
of course u dont want okc, they r the worst match up for rockets but i also dont thin k rockets can finish as the #1 seed, memphis, spurs or golden state will most likely do that
I think we match up better than ever with them now. Ariza can get up into KD, then throw Cisco "the KD killa" at him, along with Papa. Beverly can have a dogfight with Westbrook and make him shoot 30 times. PLUS they lost Sefalosha who was good at guarding Harden... and we have the best center in the league. KD is KD but I dont see why we should "avoid" them,
The thunder have won 3 in a row and are only 9 back in the loss column from jumping in to a top 4 spot, they could do that easily
yeah I didnt think KD would be back until january, thats why i counted OKC out of the playoffs. If i would have known they would be back as soon as they did, i'm sure they will still make the playoffs at this point. 7th seed probably
