A better poll would be to find out who on the board is registering, or will register, for the Obamacare exchange program. IOW, who really believes the program is good for them personally or who just wishes it on all the rest of nation? The unions, Congress and quite a few businesses have already voted with their feet as opposed to the lips.

You do understand that the exchanges are for those who currently have no health insurance or are currently paying for it themselves, right?

If you have employer provided health care, you won't need to access the exchange.

... so in other words, you've spent 3 years complaining about Obamacare and don't even know the purpose of the exchanges? That's just sad.

    Clueless...

Why would one use the exchanges if they already have health insurance through their employer? Why WOULDN'T I use the exchanges if I was not insured?

It should be obvious by now. Obama legislation = bad no matter what that legislation entails.

Yes, but I strongly suspect there are a number of posters here who are not covered by their own health insurance. Also, there is a growing number of employers who have opted to toss their employees into the health exchanges rather than provide all or most of health insurance themselves.

Plenty of people. Probably not the ones that aren't really interested, or spend their time posting nonsensical images of a bunch of sheets of paper, though. It does require some basic interest in actually being educated.

ok.. let me put it in laymans terms for the "educated". Why does a document need this many revisions? since you read it and all. If you don't know ... quit trying to bull**** people like you read it.

Five reasons Americans already love ObamaCare — plus one reason why they’re gonna love it even more, soon

    1. ACA allows young Americans to stay on their parents’ insurance plans

    2. ACA bans insurance companies from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions

    3. ACA offers tax credits to small businesses to buy insurance

    4. ACA requires companies with more than 50 employees to provide health insurance

    5. ACA provides subsidies to help individuals afford coverage

    6. State-based health insurance exchanges

Why wouldn't it need revisions? You realize programs and projects - government and private sector - are being revised all the time, right? It's not like people set something up, hit a "GO" button, and everything just goes.

I assume you've read the complete text for all of the federal laws you support. Have you read the legislative language for even one federal law you support? Which one?

This thread just keeps giving. We're now down to "it's too long!" as the best reason for not supporting this bill.

That those most vocal in their opposition cannot clearly explain their rationale for said attitude is... rather telling.

It's actually about 900 pages. 906 to be exact. You can read the full pdf copy at the link below. And you will notice every pages have huge blank borders. Compare to a typical technical specification or novel, 2 of these pages would fit in 1 pg. So it's really ~450 typical pages.

    http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/PLAW-111publ148/content-detail.html

But... who care about the number of pages. It has nothing to do with the quality or effectiveness of the law.

There are plenty of good summaries available for the law (and some very bad outright lies as well).

What is the final verdict (if any) on what the plan will do to future budget deficits and our national debt? Will it be another runaway entitlement program that will never be able to be stopped?

The PPACA is an extremely complex piece of legislation, but it's more like 906 pages.

You appear to have fabricated 20,100 pages of text - is that where you found the death panels and other bogeymen?
