I'm on the country crock, love that stuff. its funny, my parents are fairly older, my dad's in his seventies and they are used to cooking with more traditional food for lack of a better term but they always used margarine over butter as long as i can remember.

In the fridge, but I only eat toast on the weekends so I have time to set it out and let warm up a little.

Ketchup and Peanut Butter do not go in the fridge.

I have noticed that some people put tobacco products in the fridge or freezer. Never understood that either.

My mom always put the coffee in the freezer, so that's where I put it too.

Oh, and ketchup DOES go in the fridge...

If it gets warm for long it reacts to make butyric acid which smells really really really bad.

Ask anyone who has taken organic chemistry lab.

They have little crocks in some kitchen stores that use water to keep them airtight. You're supposed to keep your butter in it, at room temp.

The question is.. who the hell puts Nutella in their fridge?? They get so hard you can't even stick a plastic butter knife in them without snapping it in half.

I live in Canada, and even though its pretty cool here, we put everything in the fridge. (Ketchup , jam, butter, peanut butter..). I know a lot of Euros keep their butter out though.
