I'm not a big fan of the R logo, but I don't hate it either.

It is a lot better than some of those other logos...

I don't like the R logo. It's too crane-y. The uneven bottom and the pointy/hooky top are my main dislikes.

I'd rather the logo's primary visual be an H instead of an R

its way overdone now, but I want the logo to be more circular. Much like the championship logo. A modernization of that logo is what I would prefer first and foremost. Make it more symmetrical. Update the font within that style. The GSW have been my favorite rebrand when they went back to the blue/yellow bridge logo. They executed perfectly.

If I had to compromise and keep the essence of the current logo, just update the R and try to make it more symmetrical. Even better if you can make that hidden H more prominent. Change the stylization of the words in the logo. Just because we have a letter as our logo doesn't mean we need to make a font out of it. A change in font style would actually make the logo stand out a lot more as a concept. Get rid of the "Chinese character" undertone. Remove the shadowing and make it a flat image.

Why would that be an option if those who don't care wouldn't post here unless he/she is going out of his/her way to be an a-hole?

I think the "R" logo looks really good. I think the Rockets were trying to come up with a "timeless" type logo that wouldn't become dated. They were aiming to try to create their version of the "NY" Yankees type logo.

So, in that aspect I think the "R" logo hits the mark.

However, I think the brand of "Houston R Rockets" logo which gets used just doesn't work. In that treatment, the R looks fine but the "Houston" and "Rockets" tend to be much smaller and hard to read when used by other media entities.

The Uniforms could be tweaked. Fix the shoulder width and perhaps the neckline to be more cut. Other than that, I think they are really solid.

Call me crazy, but I'd prefer if our logo had an actual rocket in it.....you know, since that is our team name and all. And no, not the flying dildo. There are much better ways to include a rocket in the design. Also, lose the arcs on the sides, and re-introduce some yellow into the main color concept. White/Red/Yellow for home jerseys, and Red/White/Yellow for road jerseys.

I dislike our current gothic blood dripping "R" logo. But I absolutely love the "Fantastic 4" R logo we glimpsed in the playoff vids.

I also really like the Adidas jacket HR logo which is similar to the "R" in the vid.

Would love either of those to replace our blood dripping R. Both have a fresh but classic/vintage look, either would look great on any gear. Also both have that look of a logo that would last.

The logo is fine'ish. Those jerseys gotta go though. They look like a Chinese take out box.

That Avengers type "R" logo from the playoffs is interesting. I like it a lot.

I believe there is a new NBA mandate that all new team logos must have at least 1 logo or alternate logo that is a "roundel." I guess for NBA marketing consistency sake. I wonder if that Avengers R logo is the Rockets version of the roundel.

I would prefer the old unis, but anything is better than the pin-striped cartoonish rocket shark thing.

They could do almost anything else...as long as they never go back to the cartoon dildo pajamas.

    Scrap it. Scrap it all.

Scratch that, leave it. I wouldn't trust them to get it "right".
