Do you like the potential trade of Courtney Lee for Omer Asik?

I'd rather the Rockets trade for McGee and Blatche from the Wizards.

I think under those circumstances id do that too...but I cant imagine the bulls doing that... unless we send them back jordan hill too...

Then its like we loose a lot of assets to go and get NeNe or perkins and or a melo and granger.

I think you get the paperwork done on this trade and if nothing else happens accept at 11th hour the deadline.

Suck if we lost a Nene and Melo deal because we lost lee.

I would agree with this as well in most team's situations , but honestly we hold all of the cards here. We really don't want to get rid of Lee and Chicago desperately needs a starting sg. I think he is definitely worth that package to a Bulls team that can make a strong run at the East this season.

Chicago Omer Asik and 1st round of charlotte
Houston Lee, Yao miing, Jordan Hill and budinger and aaron brooks + picks
Nuggets Melo and NeNe

Nuggets get Omer, Hill, bud and brooks (yaos expiring) and cha pick and our picks
We get melo and nene
Chi gets lee and maybe miller if the need a back up center.

If nene wont work we can always add portland and get camby and give them brooks

 

I agree the two players are nothing alike... But I've actually seem him do all those things... He just wasn't successful at it.

 

We already have quite a few 'maybe next years' on the team.

If we are gonna keep trading solid players who can contribute now for prospects then we should probably go ahead and go into full rebuild mode...

 

Actually we don't hold all of the cards. Chicago is a much better team and they're trying to improve. They won't break up their core to add Courtney Lee. The Rockets on the other hand are more desperate, have redundant parts, midgets on the front court, the fan base is growing impatient, and are actively trying to make deals with any team that's willing to listen.

 

They wouldn't be breaking up their core by acquiring Lee for Asik and a pick. Honestly, Lee increases their odds of beating Boston or Miami significantly and doesn't kill them cap wise. They probably would like Mayo a bit more but THAT move would require breaking up their core. Lee is the best possible guy they could get and Morey knows it, if he puts enough pressure, by the deadline, he could have Asik and the Cats' pick for Lee. Rockets are desperate but this would only be a sub-move, they know this and would still be looking for a MAJOR upgrade.

 

Yes I agree, at best we could get Chicago to throw in another pick to go along with this. Rockets a big man up front which we need, Chicago improves their shooting guard position. My original post was in response to the person saying Houston holds all the cards and Chicago is the one that's desperate.

Seems they aren't really using Haywood anyways. He had a DNPCD the other day and they could really use Lee come playoffs.

 

Doesn't he have a history of a past injury? He looks like a promising project,Lee is obviously better than him.

 

What about Clee and Ish for Asik and Bobcats 1st? Chicago needs a backup pg also.
