Do you like the potential trade of Courtney Lee for Omer Asik?

in the grand scheme of things is asik really going to make this team better than it is now? id say prob not

how about we keep lee and give up twill and jeffries?

id also rather trade battier or ab before lee.

 

If not this year, maybe next year he becomes a significant contributor?

Should this season be our only consideration when making a trade?

 

I wouldn't mind having him on the team, but I honestly don't think C.Lee is worth trading for Asik straight up. Now if we package Lee + Hill for Asik + Gibson, like someone mentioned in the other thread, I'd probably do it.

 

In the Rockets situation that would be a yes. It's obvious this team can't make it to the playoffs and without a trade, it's back to the lottery.

NO I would hate this trade, and if Courtney Lee gets traded im pretty sure I would be jersey cursed. The past 4 rockets jerseys ive bought, they have been traded that year or the following one. (Mcgrady,Landry,Ariza,Taylor)

 

Make ur own jersey no one sticks around long enough, esp not role players.

 

He plays 11 minutes per game. Per 36, his rebounds look like Hill's. Hill scores a little better, Asik blocks shots a little better. Are we sure he's better than Hill?

Lee can definitely help us. Asik, not so much. That #1 pick would definitely make me feel better about this.

Lee for Asik doesn't equal fair value in return for the Rockets IMO

 

I live in Chicago and have watched him play quite a bit. He plays hard, has very good size and has a genuine desire to be better. I believe his upside is Joel Pryzbilla with a better jumper.

However, I do not think he will ever be good enough to start on an elite playoff team. He lacks quickness and coordination and is not terribly skilled on the offensive end. He is a nice "project" that could become a good defensive player off the bench.

I would want more for Lee. Chicago is more desperate than us. They are already good, and only a shooting guard away from winning a series or two. They are dreadful at the 2 spot, but have very few assets to move... in other words, they are desperate. We are not desperate to move Lee, we have many assets to move and are not really that good anyway.

 

Why are people worried about playing time, can't they force RA to just play him ?
I would like this deal because Terrence Williams can take Lee's spot and if it doesn't work out, we saved money and get a nice draft pick. Lee is not the guy he was supposed to be, doesn't score enough and is not that good.

 

GTFO with this Omer Asik crap! Some of you guys are just trade happy.

I would not let this happen ever...Battier will be gone by the deadline most likely and lee is the only other person on our team who can guard top scorers. Lee is the future of the rockets defensively!

 

I'm not sure I can endure two more weeks of this BS.
