from the Terrence Williams (T-Will) trade?

Is it lottery-protected and what season do we owe it to them?

Technically we owe Atlanta that pick now.

If we make the playoffs, yes.

If we don't, it rolls over to the next year, and the following, and so on. Until it eventually becomes unprotected.

Never becomes unprotected. It is lottery protected until 2016. If not transferred by 2016, Hawks get 2017 2nd round pick.

Was T.Williams on a expiring contract?
If so,there was absolutely no need to give up a 1st round pick, despite his inability and lack of desire to play in Houston.

When we traded for him, he still had a year left on his contract.
