They re-signed Rivers and House but have still not signed an outside FA and looks like the FA well is drying up FAST. What's the deal with Morey and Tilman?
Rockets off season is over. They promised fireworks in Houston and delivered that few days back on 07/04. Time to move on
I’m seriously starting to panic. We and the Cavs are the only teams sitting on our hands. Probably means we will deal with them in the near future.
Here's a copy of the script for future reference: They have a brilliant plan we're unaware of but just when they are planning to execute it an evil entity will thwart their plans. They will curse the gods via Jonathan Feigen, and then pat themselves on the back via Woj while themselves telling fans we didn't need to upgrade anyway. The $$$ savings are a coincidence of course, otherwise they wouldn't have tried, right?
I dont know if it is because the front office wants to stand pat or players dont really want to play here... either way freaking sucks.
Isn't it time for Morey to get back on the Dan Patrick Show to tell us about all of the moves he's going to make or is that scheduled for later this week?
Yes they know. They claimed Deyonta Davis off waivers Gave Danuel House most of the MLE and re-signed Rivers/Green They have no more money to spend except the minimum. (About $2.2M left of the MLE which is equivalent to the minimum)
House and Rivers deals were nice, because they were a discount. Rockets not willing to truly pay up to add talent though.
they are running it back...Morey will give us the rehearsed talking points about us being the best team in the league the 2nd half of last season
I’m sure they know the offseason has started. Problem is they have no money. I think they are planning on making a trade. Iggy/Russell Westbrook/Kevin Love or whoever and possibly signing Tyson Chandler for the Veteran’s minimum at this point.
Rockets are special our offseasom starts at the deadline somewhere in February when clearance section has another 50% off.
i'm not sure it's thread worthy, but i choose to associate myself with the sentiment. Both LA teams are better than us right now. so is Utah ...so is Golden State, and both Denver and Portland can give us trouble. Standing pat may have been a good strategy before the Lakers, jazz and clips made all those moves, but now it just can't be. So what the hell are we doing?
