Lock this if this has been discussed.
Nbadraft.net says that we have 3 picks in the draft this year.....did I miss something?

1st round ofcourse.....then it says we have the 32nd pick and the 39th pick.

    Is this right?

No, the 39th pick belongs to Milwaukee from the Mike James deal. The 32nd is owed to us by the Knicks from the Mo Taylor deal.

I see what he means. For whatever reason the 39th overall pick (our real 2nd rounder) has the Rockets logo next to it.

yeah the official nba draft order list came out and surprisingly that pick was not going to milwaukee...

    *********************Update*******************************

I've been looking through the draft order on several different sites, and a couple more reputable sites (rockets.com and nbadraft.net) show us with the 39th pick.

I know this pick is supposedly going to Milwaukee from the Mike James trade so there is probably nothing to this.

However, in these draft orders, it shows other trades that have gone down, which compelled me to make this thread.

Does anyone have any info on this? Do they have to opt to take our pick first?

    Here are the sites:

A few weeks ago, nbadraft.net had our 39th pick to Mil. Now, we have our own pick....so I'm guessing that they found out something new.

No ... we don't have it.

    I'm sure we don't.

    Seriously.

But if we do, it's a huge plus.

we definitely don't have our own second round pick this draft. my guess is nbadraft.net forgot to update our pick when they updated the draft order after the tiebreakers and rockets.com is using whatever nbadraft.net is showing... so they're both wrong. the bucks have our 06 and 07 second round picks. no conditions were ever reported about those picks so there shouldn't be any surprises.

I don't know. The day that Rockets.com report came out, I think nbadraft.net showed Milwaukee with the pick. It just changed recently for NBAdraft.net. I guess they could have changed it due to the Rockets.com report.

Just to add to what I said previously, the update just happened today on NBAdraft.net. I'm pretty sure it was just changed today with that update.

Edit: I just emailed them to see what was up. I'll post when I hear from them.

Don't depend on nbadraft.net. They have never been reliable.

Yeah right, I won't believe it unless there's a REAL link not related to nbadraft.net.

Well, if we do have our own pick, that will be cool to have two high second rounders.

I wasn't really ripping rockets.com ... just that particular article on it. The headline isn't accurate.

But clearly someone went in and removed the "(to Milwaukee)" on the #39 pick in that article, given that it was taken from an earlier nba.com article, so maybe they know something that we don't.

All the info I've got says the pick goes to the Bucks from the Mike James trade. The Rockets traded two future second rounders (and Reece Gaines) last year to the Bucks for James and Zendon Hamilton. Our second-round pick last year went to the Knicks from the Van Gundy contract dealings. I can't see how the Bucks would have made a deal for two second round picks from the Rockets starting in 2007... but we do owe them two.
