So, in other words, you have absolutely no proof the NBA has some under the table deal with DMO. Do you have any credible evidence other than you continuing to say this?

What? There is tons of evidence that Dmo got paid, read above....lots of links.....what is wrong with you?

He said on his own FB page that he worked it out with the players association and the Rockets....

    Sheesh.

And if you don't believe it, I don't care anymore to argue with you...Rox up 25 - just gonna enjoy it....

Just post one link showing that DMo got an under the table deal with the NBA. Your googling skills must be much more advanced than mine. I type in Dmo settlement nba and see none of this stuff you claim happened.

I don't think the Rockets would hire him as a free ball boy at this point. That ship sailed a while back.

The fact that no NBA team offered Donuts a contract this year (not even the Nets), should tell you all you need to know. He's damaged goods. As the saying goes, "If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough." Well, that dummy's body ain't tough!

This is a really annoying poster. He advocates for key players such as Capela to get the most money he can breaking up this Rockets team while advocating washed up players that are bitter towards the organization to rejoin.

The Rockets were extra shrewd and didn't hold any punches in their contract negotiations with D-Mo.
Ruthless might be a better word to describe the Rockets in their contract negotiations with D-Mo.

So why were the Rockets so ruthless in their contract negotiations with D-Mo?
It is because they merely saw D-Mo as trade bait to acquire a better player or to use as an asset that could be flipped for a high first round draft pick.
The lower his salary, the more valuable he was to the Rockets as trade bait.

The Rockets motivation was evidenced by the new contract that was negotiated.
The new contract pushed back the date for when the D-Mo's contract became fully guaranteed by three months and the Rockets no longer needed to wait a year to trade him.

BJ Armstrong may not be the smartest agent, but D-Mo is no fool.
D-Mo fired BJ Armstrong and then hired Octagon to represent him.
It is my understanding that Octagon then threatened to sue the Rockets and the NBA on D-Mo's behalf.
I can only speculate, but D-Mo is probably still getting paid by the Rockets and the NBA.

Before, D-Mo got injured, he was on his way to becoming an above average power forward.
While D-Mo is not the same player he was since he had the back surgery, he still has talent, has been healthy and he could've significantly helped the Rockets.
It is Rockets that came up short by playing hardball since they got nothing for D-Mo, especially since they are probably still paying him.

I have been a Rockets fan for about 30 years.
I will always root for any Rockets player unless they do something stupid like drugs (Lewis Lloyd, Mitchell Wiggins, John Lucas), quit on the team (Scottie Pippen) or become a lazy ass after getting paid (Stromile Swift, Kelvin Cato, Mo Taylor).
In my opinion, these are the only players that deserve scorn from Rockets fans.

Finally, here is a list of Octagon clients:

DMO isn’t good enough to crack the Rockets roster.

Give it a rest. The DMo ship has long sailed. We have a better chance of bringing Brewer and Smith back reuniting the headband of brothers.
