Not celebrating until it's made official... Isn't there still time for Comcast to present a counter-proposal...? I'm just not comfortable with the use of the word "apparently", particularly in new reports relating to business/legal matters...
That's how I understand it. This does not mean AT&T is getting the channel. It's not bad news, but those of us with Uverse aren't out of the woods yet.
Does anyone know how good the distribution is for the Root networks? Do they air on Dish and cable providers like Charter, Suddenlink and Comcast? Just curious what the people in the Houston market can expect.
Very misleading title. This is a re-organization plan. We are a long way from this becoming a reality. If Comcast was on board, it would almost certainly go through, but right now it is nothing more than a ray of hope.
Well if it goes through this way then the channel would stay on Comcast in addition to getting on DirecTV and ATT. I did a quick google search and it looks like Dish Network has the other ROOT sports channels as well. So if this gets passed it seems like there is an increased chance of almost everyone having the chance at being able to watch the channel.
I have comcast so basically I wont be able to watch the rockets if this goes through? Direct TV sucks and Uverse is not available in my area.
Good news possibly, but I wish there would be a way to keep the content from csn hoiston, from the little I've seen it seems like a great channel..way better then root or fsn as far as content other than the games provided
(1) this doesn't mean Comcast customers won't get the new sports network (most likely Root Sports). hopefully the new network will charge less to other providers than what CSN was proposing (2) I thought DirecTV was available anywhere in the US, as long as you can point the satelite in the right direction
Sigh. Just because we've experienced this cluster**** with comcast doesn't mean ATT/DTV would do the same. They' want to get subscriber fees too. Would they lower the asking price for subs? Maybe but we don't know anything yet. Keep calm. ATT could very well give Comcast a favorable quote to get CSN Houston if they agree to just wrap this up quickly. Too many moving pieces and too many lawyers right now to celebrate or panic
