In his little acceptance speach, he said something like "there are lots of great young guys taking the torch, like Tim Duncan and Stephon"
KG and Marbury had a love loss while both were playing for Minnesota. Mainly because Stephon wanted to be the man and wasn't going to play second fiddle to KG, even when it was obvious it was KG's team.
you guys.... haven't you been hearing about the smack they've been talking about each other lately, they don't really speack....etc?
Clearly KG was giving a shout out to Stephon as a sign that he want's this nonsense to be over with. Classy thing for KG to do and be a man and give a shout out to Stephon like that. It clearly shows that it is Stephon that has the problem with KG and not the reverse. Chris
I think Stephon and KG are close friends now. The broadcasters said once Stephon and KG didn't speak to each other (while Stephon was a Timberwolf) but now they're tight.
Not true, there was a whole special on this Saturday, Stephon declined but KG did the interview. He said he hasn't talked to Stephon in a while. Also, you don't remember when Stephon said Amare was a much better player than KG at that age. That just happened about two months ago. He was obviously taking a shot at KG.
Well this thread kind of makes Marbury seem 100% guilty. Sure I think he still has some issues with KG, considering HE was the one who was shipped out, mainly b/c he wasn't the better of the two. Anyway, if Marbury had won the MVP (I hear laughing for some reason) he would be sending props to KG. Did anyone notice how Stern had to thank Garnett's teammates before KG even spoke? That seemed a bit weird to me.
i couldn't help but laugh when kg says that. stephon as a top player? he's a career loser, one that will never win a championship. no, he won't even be in the final. period. the only time he goes to the final is when he pays for ticket.
I think Deuce is correct. KG is trying to be classy. We'll see if Marbury is man enough to deserve KG's praise...
