Tmac + Sura > Tmac + Rafer but, Yao + Sura < Yao + Rafer I remember VGD said that he played Rafer 40 min for Yao's sake. The rockets need a pg who can shoot the ball well and so he can play well with Tmac, also he should pass the ball well and so he can play well with Yao.
A recent news article addressed the uptick in dominant aggressive behavior by small athletic 1 to 3 year old blond children at Houston Area playgrounds. Mothers of the children who have been bulldozed at area parks by these small firebrands are calling on Mayor White to find out if there is some government genetic breeding program that has been unleashed on the unsuspecting citizens of Houston.
Don't get me started on this guy! He is everything the Rockets need. The Sura-Barry-James team that took Dallas to seven was the only Rocket team I have really, really "connected" with since the championship years. All the others just lack the ability to excite the fan in me. They all have had their moments, but his team was gutsy, tough, and exciting. If he had remained healthy it would have been the Rockets in the Western Finals last year instead of Utah. Extreme leadership makes all the difference. One of my favorite all time Rocket's players.
Speaking of Bobby, I just saw the dude last week. Was checking out some condos in a highrise and who do I run into in the lobby? Bobby! That was tite. And no I dont have no bloody pictures. I am not papprazzi.
Sura was my favorite rocket at the time. He's my favorite Rocket in the last5 years or so. No one else is even close. Him and JB.....man I miss Barry. I loved that team.
I was in med school in cleveland in early 90s when the cavs drafted Sura. About the same time the ROx were going through the Matt Maloney expereince. I remember watching the hussle and intensity of Sura and wish he played for the Rox. I have always appreciated his heart and dedication.
Man, anyone who voted average wasn't paying attention the 2005 season. Bobby was crazy, but crazy in a good way. If I could be one player in the NBA (healthy), it would be Bobby Sura.
I loved the dude (non homo way), he was the heart and soul of that team three years ago, provided great toughness, and leadership. I compared his role in a way to what Stephen Jackson does for the Warriors now. Not to mention he produced on the court, he averaged 10, 5 and 5 and I believe was the only other PG in the NBA besides Jason Kidd to do that.
I agree he was my favorite on that team.I think jason kidd woul dbe the same way if we could get him also.
tell me about it. I'm still pissed people weren't paying attention in the 1993 season! now they forget 2005??!?!?
That was my favorite team man. So much heart and so fun to watch. They made VG ball look pretty damn good.
That's like the perfect point guard. If only the Rockets could get a quasi perfect pg, at least. I wish we still had Sura or somehow acquire Jose Calderon.
