Did we trade for the right player (Rondo or Brewer)

I know it only been a few weeks but I wanted to see what everyone thoughts are on the trade of Brewer vs should Morey have had gone after Rondo? I think Rondo would have been a better fit. The Mavericks and hate to say this are looking scary good while we are trying to find the right line up that works.

the mavs are going through an incredibly easy schedule, benefit to them but blowing out bad teams isn't exactly scary good

this has been beat to death. rondo would not fit here, we have no need for him. it made much more sense in dallas than it did in houston.

Rondo also has a much better coach coaching him and holding him accountable for his jumpshot

Smith is not the best fit either. Rondo at his best behavior will rekindle the offense.

    Also a useful player IMHo.

Rondo does not need a strict coach at all cost. He needs to understand how to win more championships.

Dallas and Houston are good fits for him to contend.

What type of shade are you talking? By shade do you mean Corey Brewer trash talk? If so I agree with you. He's been great for the Rockets. I wish we could get him more minutes somehow. He does some of everything. Only Papa matches his hustle (although he's obviously not as quick). Brewer has a pretty strange jumper but you can't deny it's effectiveness.

Yup. He has been a HUGE boost of energy. Exactly what we needed.

Rondo takes the ball out of Hardens hands. Why would you want that?

Rondo is in Dallas for his defense-which is a step up from the dead-man-d they had before getting him.

The Rockets already have a playmaker at the two and a better defensive player at the point.

Guys gotta stop with this video game mentality

Good point. I am sure Rondo can redefine himself and can play without the ball in his hands when Harden is on the court.

And can play minutes with the 2nd unit. Shoulder the burden of playmaking.

And Harden can play more off the ball, does not need to make plays in the first two quarters.

I agree Harden has to touch the ball more at the end of 3rd and 4th quarter.

I am saying Smith isn't the perfect fit either. He looked better on paper.
But in reality is not a good with starters either.

I don't think we were getting Rondo for Troy Daniels. I'll still take Brewer.

Brewer has been great for us. Rondo is awesome but for us, Brewer has been great. I don't think Rondo would have been a great fit for us.

We already have Ariza snd Josh Smith on our team. We do not need another player trying to find his offensive rhythm! Dragic over Rondo at this point.

They haven't look any different. They are beating up bad teams while loosing to good teams.
