Did we just dump the last guy we acquired this offseason.

    Our team played absolutely incredible defense on the world champion Warriors last year in the playoffs.
    In games 6 and 7 we ran a six man rotation of:

    Harden
    Tucker
    Ariza
    Capela
    Gordon
    Green

    And we were up by double digits at halftime of both of those games. Hell, game 7, we go 5 for 27 instead of 0 for 27, we win.

    This year, same system, same coaches, Capela better than ever, Harden is on another plane of bball existence, Rivers coming off the bench and fitting in perfectly, Faried providing a double double as a starter and will be a good backup C.

    This top five:

    Harden
    CP
    Gordon
    Capela
    Tucker

    Along with:

    Shumpert
    Faried
    Rivers
    Green

    Is a damn good lineup. We took GSW to the brink with less. We can do it again.

    (edit: mistakenly put CP in the six man lineup when he was injured)

    I really didn't have a problem with any of these moves except for Ennis. Sure he didn't replace Ariza but he would have been good depth behind Shumpert. Dumping him for nothing is kinda baffling.

    All the other guys we moved were pretty worthless.

    Wasted entire offseason. Probably could have Tyler Johnson instead of Shumpert if waited a little longer trading Ryno. The less optimal state we are in right now ... partly due to some uncontrollable situations such as injuries, but it had at least to do with the moves we made off season. If it weren’t for Harden’s historical performance, we might not even make the playoff this year.

    He's just trying to protect Morey and the idiots here have consumed his narrative. We had too many garbage players with 0 assets that Morey created. We are no longer upside down in value.

    meanwhile every other contender got significantly better except us...

    Bucks just got Mirotic without giving up any of their rotation players for 2nd round picks, wtf.

    Harden's about to lose his MVP if the Bucks win 60+ games.

    I thought Ryan restutrcuted his deal for him to be traded this time. Isn’t that timing. I am skeptical that any GM would place personal feelings above the substance of trade in this league. A deal is deal no matter what the other side is.

    Maybe, maybe not. We could still be trying to move Ryan Anderson and his contract....

    I prefer a bird in the hand than two in the bush in this case.

    Yea... losing your second and third best player for extended time makes it tougher to compete.... earth shattering....

    Ryno was useful at least when he hit those threes and hence has some value in this league. Knight and Chriss. Oh well. If that was salary move more than anything else and let’s not pretend otherwise.

    Clearly Anderson isn’t useful anymore. He couldn’t stay on the floor with us or the Suns...

    It was a salary move that good got rid of a bunch of dead money and added a veteran wing who has played in 3 NBA Finals against the Warriors.

    I was starting to like Ennis. He had been playing better. I mean everyone on the team loses their man or commits silly stupid fouls. So idk why Harden Cp3 or Tucker would be annoyed at him missing his guy from time to time.
    It was weird though but yesterday even Faried yelled when Ennis beat him up for the rebound, even though Faried already had a double figure rebounds. That seemed odd, so I guess he didn’t mixed well with other? Idk

    What’s achieved by these threads? Maybe Morey wanted to see if these players can fit in, or maybe he wanted to use them as chips. Regardless Morey is here to stay.

    Morey is the smartest GM in the league!

    He traded Melo, MCW, Ennis, Chriss, BK, 1 first, 2 seconds for NBA CHAMPION Iman "The Scores" Shumpert

    Now we're all set to bring back Linsanity to Houston who will carry us to a 4peat. Can't wait for all the LOFs to return to CF. They are the best fans in the world!
