I think he is better off staying in Dallas than playing for the clippers now, playing behind Kandi and Elton Brand, he rarely has chance to play. but in the only game he played aginst Piston this season, he shows tons of improvement, he post up, drive to the basket and shoot 3 pointers. if he goes to an eastern team, he will be hell of a player.

It won't be such a bad decision if Kandi bolts next year as a FA. Wang still wouldn't be seeing any time behind LaFrentz, Najera or Bradley.

I agree. Plus Dirk plays some minutes at the 5 (Bradley fouled out and Dirk defended Zydrunas Ilgauskas when the Mavs played Cleveland recently). Plus Evan Eschmeyer is also a 5 and has a multi-year contract.

IMO, Wang did the right thing. I don't think Sterling can/will sign both Brand and Kandi. If Kandi re-signs, Wang can play PF and if Brand re-signs, Wang has enough range play a high post center.

Didn't Wang sign for 3 years in LA? If so he's going to rack up a ton of DNP-CD's (Did Not Play-Coaches Decision). At least in Dallas he would have been used off the bench as a 3 point specialist. He's not even being used in LA.

If ya'll don't recall, re-signing in Dallas wasn't an option for Wang after he defected from the Chinese National Team. Dallas didn't want to insult the Chinese by bringing him back. There may be a question as to whether he should have signed with Golden State or LAC, but I don't think Dallas was a possibility for him.

Dallas was only offering him a few hundred thousand a year. I think he is make 2 million a year with the Clippers. He made a good financial decision. Also Dallas was supposed to match any offer that was made to the MCE but they didn't. Wang was just getting his.

I do agree that the Dallas staff decided not to resign Wang however Wang's main reason (according to him) for going to another team was so that he could get more playing time. From that point of view it doesn't look like it turned out so well for him.

I'm guessing he used the reason "looking for playing time" as a way to cover up the Chinese mess. If he said he was leaving Dallas because he defected from China a lot of teams wouldn't have touched him. But if he says he is looking for playing time then team would be more inclined to give him a shot. Going to the Clippers wasn't a mistake, I'm guessing Dallas wouldn't have played him either.
