don't think it matters at all I hate kobe and the lakers deeply, could care less about his legal troubles.
I was scared when they started chanting... I was screaming to the TV, "WTF?! are you doing!!! We're not up by much! You're gonna rile him up TC!!! STOP!!" LOL
It's just the kind of crud you here in SLC or Arco... I'd rather Houston stay classy when being nationally televised. "De-fense" shows class, team support and effects the other teams' veterans and rookies alike. There is a correct way to support your team without being inconsiderate. or I know you are, but what am I? (goo-goo, ga-ga) How old are we again?
Actually, he doesn't suck. He's one of the best in the NBA. His crappy little smirk sucks. His cockiness sucks. The attitude from his L.A. team, coach, and fans suck. -- droxford
True. All true. I'd just prefer if our fan's attitudes didn't suck at "cheering." I thought "cheering" was positive stuff... not derogatory remarks to a worldwide audience. Okay. I'm off the soap box now. /rant
Or perhaps he shouldn't have put himself in the situation to begin with? I find it more disgusting that he gets 'support' and 'props' for cheating on his wife. ...even if she was made a little happier with multimillion dollar gifts. His actions, so he'll have to take the heat. I don't see anything wrong with that.
It's what being a fan is about, rooting for your guys and agasint the other team. Would you like for the Rox fans to clap for Kobe if he dropped 50 on us in recognition of it being a large amount of points? Not for nothing, but thsi is the first time I've heard the Center actually be noisy in a very long time. I suggest you not watch any playoff games if you're gonna be bothered by this type of atmosphere
What I'm bothered by is my classy hometown stooping to a classless level. I in no way support Kobe or his actions... but why then point them out if you don't approve? "Hey. You suck. And you raped someone. Here, let me chant about it. It's sure to make me feel better (laughing at your misdeeds and the consequences), and I'm sure it will make me look smarter and more self assured than you do. Wow. I'm really mature, and intellectual." -average "fan" that "cheers" about bad situations in "support" of their team. It just makes no sense to me. Some call it karma... I call it "asking for it."
You are right. Everyone should go back to sitting on their hands like the regular season. Btw, Karl sucks, too and I think he should be informed of that on Sunday.
Some people just have to find something to complain about. When the TC is as quiet as a morgue people complain about poor Houston fans. But when the fans actually get rowdy and get on an opponent, people complain. Like I said, some people have to complain and make a negative out of anything. So everyone sunday, keep doing the "Kobe Sucks" or whatever other chants you want to get started.
Kobe is just going to get off on these chants, he is just that type of player. As much as I hate him, this was a bad idea. Boo's are acceptable. Suck chants are bad. Boo the hell out of Malone and Kobe on Sunday, but lets not get them fired up. You want to talk about class. How about LA fans chanting the name of an accused rapist!?! If that happened here we would probably push him out of town. Judging from who we are playing, I dont think we need to worry about having better class. Malone the Flop Fish the Flop Fox the Greaseball Kobe the Rapist Shaq the BIG _____________(many work here) Phil the KFC Guy
Chanting about a criminal case that hasn't been decided yet isn't my style. But I hated Kobe long before that incident ever happened. I hate Kobe now. I don't mind the hate of 'Kobe Sucks' going for him, and I don't feel sorry for him at all. Kobe is so cocky, and such a little drama self concious about his own heroic image moron, that he deserves to be heckeled. I don't think the jeers need to be about a possible rape. But I love when he gets heckled in other ways. I watch Kobe play up like he's fighting through injuries so his performances look more heroic, but after making some amazing moves and dunks etc. he shows no sign of pain, until he remembers again, and then makes sure that it looks like he's being heroic. I'm not saying he's faking it, but he definitely plays it up, and exaggerates them. And when Kobe gets outshined by somebody else he likes it was no big deal. He has a lot of talent, and desire, and works hard, but I hate him.
oops. what i was trying to say was: there is a time and a place for christian love, my friend, and this sure as hell ain't it. No, I'm in no way a Laker fan... but at least a fan of decency. What if it were you? Mt. 7:12 [/B][/QUOTE]
