If you're looking for a last-minute gift for the Detroit Lions fan in your family, you might want to skip the 2013 calendar from Turner.

The problems start with the cover. The ad wizards in charge of putting this piece together went with recently exiled wide receiver Titus Young.

Sure, no one could have predicted his recent troubles, but in what world does it make sense for Young to be on the cover in the first place?

The Lions have three highly marketable stars in Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford and Ndamukong Suh. Those are your choices. There's no reason to get cute or creative with the decision.

Young, as it currently stands, might not be with the team next season.

    It gets better.

The featured player for the month of January is cornerback Aaron Berry. Way to start the year off with a bang.

When did this thing go into production? Berry was released in July.

Other players who are featured include running back Jahvid Best, who hasn't played since the 2011 season, and potential cap casualties Kyle Vanden Bosch and Nate Burleson.

Finally, check out the awesome features that the calendar promotes.

-- Bonus STATS page featuring Detroit Lions Statistics, Record Holders, Past Results, Super Bowl History and more.

-- The 2012 schedule (doesn't seem very useful in 2013).

    Yikes.

Don't worry, there are still plenty of other Lions-related gifts out there.
