I'm shocked that you guys think he's better than Williams. Last time I checked his field goal percentage was like 33%. The guy is one of the most inefficient players in the league and his defense has deteriorated over the years.
Well if you think he has nothing left then its a no brainer not to bring him in from your point of view. That's cool. You might be right and I might be wrong.
His 3pt shot was .364 last season on almost 4 attempts per game. If his defense is still good that is why I would want to sign him. Defense and 3 pt shot is better than no defense and .306 3pt shot. Neither player will be a focal point on offense, we just want their defender not to cheat off of them when they are at the three point line and make the defender pat when they do. Defense & .364 or No Defense & .306? Which would you prefer? But like some others, if you think Stevensen at 32 has nothing left in the tank then what's the point.
Unfortunately his defense is not as good as he was when he was with the Wizards. He looked slow and out of shape last season. No contenders reached out to him after the championship season says a lot about him.
While you may be correct that Stevenson no longer "has it". I would not base any decisions on Atlanta Hawks reasoning.
Of course, the decisions of Atlanta Hawks can't say all, but can still say something, I only put them for example

Miami Heat Where I Wanna Go!!! He would be a very good backup for us. He has been able to shoot when he has had a good low post player last few seasons. Shot excellent in Dallas with Dirk and shot great in Atlanta also.
