I do about 30 minutes of cardio at least 5-6 days out of the week and try to play basketball. Also some light weight-training. I guess I will clarify a bit Option 1.) Couch potato... meh, exercise Option 2.) Sure, I go play some ball here and there, maybe I hit the gym a couple times a month... maybe I'll go jogging if the weather is just right. Option 3.) I'm committed to exercising, I have a program I stick to. I try to work out at least every day. Option 4.) I'm all about working out, its what I do. Being in shape is very important to me.
the poll options are really smart so we can reeeeeaalllyyyy post what we think? My knees ache, otherwise I'd be playing basketball everyday. I just played today and hope nothing hurts tomorrow. I used to play every other day here at work.
i have a gym at my place now that i joined.. but i still tend to go down there only 2-3 times a week. Not terrible, I suppose, but I wish it was better. At the same time, I don't care enough to go 5x a week or make up days if I miss some..
I'd be joinin' y'all dudes out there for the CLutchfans Basketball thread festivals if it weren't that I am so effin' busy on the weekends and weekdays y'all organize the things. Darn it I want to shake n'bake some dudes so bad. I can't play too much on concrete, anyway... darn knees. I only run around a bit with my daughters and the recently-acquired puppy now. I can't do too long. I work out every now and then, but not too much, yet I tend to stay skinny. WTH? When's the next Basketball get-together?
An hour at a time. I mix in cardio and weights. The thing with me is I'm a thick guy and am trying to lose some weight. Everytime I eat, I bloat up.
I try to do cardio 2 times a week and a mix of strength training and aerobics 2 times a week. It's just what you eat, unfortunately.
Try eating slower, it is a lot better for digestion and metabolism and remember it takes your stomach 20 minutes after your first bite to start sending signals to your brain that it is full. Also... try to switch to drinking mostly water if you haven't already. Drink at least half a gallon a day, the bigger you are the more water you need to drink in addition to the daily half gallon.
I get about 5 to 10 minutes of "cardio" once or twice a day, if you catch my drift... Hint: About once a month (usually the same time every month) I take a break for 3 or 4 days.
You know what, you are probably right. I have a business that I manage. When it comes to lunch, I run to the back and chow down as fast as I can when it is slow. Been doing this for 4+ years straight, and I guess it sticks with me thru my days off. My friends all say I eat fast and now I realize it after your comment. lol Thanks moes!! lol
Scarfing down food has been my problem since I was a kid and my metabolism started slowing down and I turned into a really chubby teenager. I stopped drinking sugar-drinks and lost 40 pounds around the time I was 20. Avoid High Fructose Corn Syrup like the plague.
i'm btwn 2 and 3. depends on what else is going on in my life and how busy i am. i didn't work out for the last 4 mths b/c of life. but i've been back in it for 2 wks no and doing well. i actually lost weight while i didn't workout, but that was mostly due to stress. i wasn't eating right, maybe one meal a day, woke up 3 times a night, etc. like i said....life.
