No, come on. That is terrible. I feel for Rose and all the Chicago fans -- makes me remember the way we all felt when Yao kept getting injured and then eventually retired. Classless post. Feel shame.
I wouldn't say it's for "nothing". Still a fan favorite bringing in revenue with jersey sales, etc I absolutely hate seeing this considering he was that unstoppable ball of speed and energy that was just so exciting to watch a few years back
No way they let Butler leave now. One less contender we have to worry about I'll mourn his injury in the offseason.
What a real shame. So many things have to go right for players to really live up to their potential. Much of it is out of their control. Very sad.
As an organization they'll be alright. Butler is a star in the making and Snell is coming into form recently. Rose is still on their books, but they can easily find and start grooming an adequate point guard who doesn't need to dominate the ball. Butler-Gasol-Noah-Gibson and possibly Snell is a better core than 2/3s of the NBA.

Really sucks for him, at least he had a good peak winning MVP and his family is set for life. If he wants to come back, props to him but no shame in walking away now.
Wow - that's really horrible news. I truly hope he comes back better than ever but I fear like most that his career is just about done. It's really a shame because he was such unique player and very likable - humble, a strong leader, a good work ethic, etc. You want more players like that in the league.....damn shame
