don't really see anything wrong with it. not gonna fault someone who is in the process of still coming back from 2 major injuries. it's november, ill wait longer than 2 weeks into a season to make judgements.
nope some people are knights in shining armor, haven't actually worked hard in their life so they have no understanding how fortunate they are to be playing a kids game making millions becoming a celebrity and securing their families financial future for a few years of "game" playing. Slap in the face to the fan base of Chicago. Red flags all around for sad sack Derrick Rose.
that's not a good argument, just because you get paid millions doesn't mean you should risk long term debilitating injuries. Yao Ming retired because he said he doesn't want to end up in a wheel chair later in his life, do you feel slapped in the face by him
If I was a sponsor, I would be looking to drop him as being a "face" of my company and give JJ Watt a call!!!
I noticed the past tense. He wasn't soft before because he didn't realize he could be hurt. Now that he understands, he's curling up in the fetal position.
That wasn't an ACL tear or sprained ankle for Yao. Those are common sports injuries. Yao's injury was far worse and completely different. He's also a 7 foot giant so your comparison doesn't make sense either. Rose should go work somewhere were he feels comfortable and safe. Probably wont make millions playing any other kids games though.
LOL at all this health talk. HE SPRAINED HIS ANKLES. He's a basketball player. I'd venture to say that at min. 25% of the players in the league are playing through various sprains throughout the season. This is not football. His injuries will not leave him feeling like Earl Campbell in 20 years
It's not playing injured through minor injuries. It's getting these injuries repeatedly, and him already going through 2 major injuries. Remember a minior injury led to a season ending injury last year. I don't know why people don't get his fear. If these were just minor injuries, I'm sure he would play through them. He's not a soft player. Again, this is not a very bright kid. Didn't he have someone else take his SATs? Not very bright, but he's not soft either.
you do realize overcompensating from injuries many times leads to other injuries. oh wait you don't because you've never dealt with any major injuries before lol.
how do you tangibly measure what is "worse" for a player. Is it common for a player to tear his ACL be out for a season, only to come back and tear his meniscus and go back on the surgery table to be out another season. At this point in his career neither him nor the bulls could afford another major injury for him, people underestimate the mental stress of constantly getting surgeries, and the rehabbing process, especially in back to back seasons.
Shaq kept saying if he can walk, he can play. I remember vividly him sitting out longer b/c Buss wouldn't give him the contract LOL.
weak. no argument and complete surrender. If you can't see the difference between Yao's catastrophic foot injury at his size and a common sports injury repaired by the top specialist doctors in the world we are going to go around in circles. If you are a professional basketball player it is expected of you to rehab and get through an ACL injury. Developing "injury anxiety" and not wanting to go full speed on the court is not holding up his side of the bargain. At this point the Bulls have gotten negative return on their investment and red flags abound for a future max contract from any smart team. He'll be able to trick a desperate small market team into taking a chance for sure though.
argument? lol i guess you were the one trying to argue. your statements make you sound jealous of his life compared to yours. like i said it'll be ok.
