The lowdown: I haven't been to the dentist in a decade and I'm sure there's an entire gamut of problems to be found once they go in there. I'd like to get an idea of people's experiences with Houston area dentists and whether they'd recommend any in Med Center area. I did a search in the BBS and found a couple of dentists recommended previously- (www.drfawcett.com looks awesome but I think they'd be on the pricier side of the spectrum). Thanks in advance.
Our family uses J. Scott Anderson on FM 1960. We've never had any problems and he has a hot assistant.
for those who live in austin - dr. joan sefcik and her wacky assistants are an absolute pleasure. best denist ever. i had two wisdom teeth pulled and it was so easy. she's not stingy with the gas!
I use Dr Coleman at this place. http://www.cosmeticdental.com/ In fact I'm going there today. He is very good, imo.
by wacky, i mean they are all very nice w/ great sense of humor...make you feel very at ease. office is done up in egyptian decor w/ m.c. escher posters, crystals and butterflies hanging from the ceiling. very cool when your all goofed up on the nitrous. it was about 2 1/2 hours, but felt like 20 minutes. im a puss when it comes to dentists and had not gone in about 10 years. i had a cavity and 2 teeth pulled and it was a pleasure. the dental work was top notch - it was my wisdom teeth, both of which had completely grown in and were causing terrible migraines. i felt so good afterwards that i walked the 3 miles or so home rather than calling for a ride. i left a trail of blood and spit the whole way back to my house, but i felt great.
I go to Dr. Alice Lam. I had a break of over a decade of not going to the dentist because it was always so painful before going to Dr. Lam. She is very gentle and I had my first pain free dental visit. She is a little pricey but well worth it. http://www.texasdreamsmile.com/
