Good to know. I think I would be safer with the DACA requestors...
To be more apples-to-apples, the control group should probably be defined by age to match the DACA cohort better. Dreamers are younger than the average American and you have more opportunity to have been arrested in your life when you're 60 than when you're 25. I think Dreamers would probably still compare well. Also knowing one is more likely to be arrested on other factors like ethnicity, gender, and income, you could make a more representative control group to test DACA status in a more scientific way. They'd probably beat citizens on that comparison too.
