Well duh, that's what everyone in this thread is doing. Everyone is suggesting who should be traded for Cousins.

let's close down the forum then since all this discussion of what we think the team should and should not do is apparently keeping them from winning championships.

When reached by phone, Cousins' agent, John Greig, said he wasn't informed of the Kings' decision until Westphal's announcement. He declined comment when asked if Cousins requested a trade.

"I have no idea what the Kings are doing,'' Greig said. "The fact that I'm just finding out about this announcement now speaks volumes about them.''

The Kings had been expecting big things from Cousins this season.

Well he would really hate playing here. There is definitely no set offense here. Just a bunch of one-on-one playing going on. The pick-and-rolls that are run aren't that effective. Not sure if McHale's "free-flowing" offense would be an upgrade from what is going on in Sacramento.

McHale wants to feed a big man the ball I think Cousins would be happy here

I hope this is true. I think he would be a nice player for the Rockets. He is only 21 years old and he has a lot of upside. With good coaching, He will be an Allstar for sure

I don't like him on any team. I didn't say he is not a good ball palyer. Infact I said at our siutation as a rocket, he is worht the risk. But he is known to have shaky work ethic, his chemistry eissues from college where he always wants the offense to run through him. He has had trouble with everyone of his coaches and his immaturity has been questioned since high school. he is not known as a quinessential teammate. I don't like guys who can ruin chemistry and are entirely me-first, that is cousins. That said he is atelnted and has potential to be special. Kevin Mchale is a big man specialist. We are going no where at this point past mediocrity so in this case, I say we just go for it isince he is apparently on sale

I'm curious how many of you have watched the Kings play? I've seen all their games. To say they look lost is an understatement, but it does not appear it is because they are trying and failing to run an offense. It is because they have too many players, Evans in particular, who are black holes with the ball. Evans too often, among others, dribble drives into traffic with 15 seconds left on the clock and takes bad shots or turns the ball over. There is little off the ball movement because they have too many head cases. It is apparent the players have no intention to put in place the motion set. I have my doubts about Cousins, who pouts during games and seems to have a history, since college, of being difficult to coach and a problem in the clubhouse. He is a remarkable talent and the real deal physically, and if he could adapt to being a professional he will be a force to reckon with, but I just don't trust him and I would not trade legitimate talent for a legitimate headache with potential all-star talent.

Lol. The +1 was initially for your absurd comment for saying Scola is untouchable. "You guys need to stop putting Scola in on every trade offer. Scola is untouchable IMO. Did you see the intro the first home game of the season? Scola got the biggest round of applause and cheers from the crowd by far. Lowry and Scola are the heart of the team. Scola is a beast."

He is all of that but "untouchable" that was a reach. What utgrad97 said after was the icing on the cake. Don't take it so personal next time.

I agree to a degree & great recover. Thanks for not taking the comment personal. I appreciate true fans that can speak their opinion w/o getting all emotional.

The Rockets are second in the league in assists to turnovers. The Kings? That's right, last. The Rockets also score 5 more points a game. The Rockets are 9th in FG% and 13th in total points scored.

Maybe it's the players... but if McHale's strategy is to let them do what they want offensively and focus on defense, because they're good enough offensively, than that's a good strategy. Personally, I don't actually think that's his strategy...

    I can't agree more.
    Dude's an act of class.
Trade him for a sophomore who can't even listen to what his coach says?
    Get out of here man.

+1. Exactly the reason we lost in Memphis the other night it was so frustrating to watch. Especially the first 35 minutes of the game.

I've been waiting for this day. I think Cousins is worth the risk. We might regret it, but he could turn out to be the young big stud with the right coach (big man coach McHale - I hope) that are rarely ever available.

+2 As long as we keep K-Mart & K.Low I say go for it.

He know he wants to play for McHale ... He should go ahead and give the Kings a list of THE preferred team so Rockes can go ahead and get this show on the road. :D

Before Lakers offer Gasol ... Again :D

I agree on Lowry and since they probably don't want Martin back, that shouldn't be a problem. I would like to think we have enough pieces to make it worth their while. And don't they have to spend more money to make the season minimum? This could be a chance to shed some salary too.
