He is not worth max money IMO, but I am sure that there is some GM out there who says otherwise however. I know that there is a "premium for big men", but I am curious to know what the market is for a guy like Cousins?

He has the potential to be the best PF in the league but he's probably worth a few mil shy of the max. However, it only takes one team to offer him the max. I could see Dallas, Milwaukee, Orlando and Charlotte offering him a lot of money.

Kings really are screwed. If they trade Cousins and he matures, they will never live it down, but if they give him the max, and he becomes an even bigger brat, he can sink them for years.

You gotta trade him if you dont wanna pay him. Melo made Denver make a decision and it turned out relatively well. I dont know how high Cousins' value is right now though

    Editor's headline
at odds with the writer's article.
Re: Parsons, I just can't help feeling Dan Fegan will be trouble for Morey again. Back when J-Rich was the franchise player for the Warriors he used J-Rich's contract negotiation to leverage, blackmail that front office to give Troy Murphy a max level contract extension too.

As Charlotte as my second team I would love him there.
Him with Houston not sure would be a good fit but not worth the max in Houston.

Cousins is a young up and coming PF that can be the best in his position once Duncan retires or gets REALLY old. He knows it and he knows he's in a franchise that so desperately needs stars. I highly doubt Cousins, or maybe even Wall and Jennings, would make that offer/ultimatum in cities like San Antonio or LA.

I think Dallas probably makes the most sense out of the 4 teams mentioned above. This is definitely a gamble on taking a guy like Cousins who has shown a lot of metal instability. A team like Dallas that has a first ballot hall of famer in Dirk and other proven veteran leaders like: Vince Carter, Shawn Marion and Elton Brand should make a strong support system for Demarcus. He needs to sign with a team that has veteran core, a team that will not only help him on the court with the X's and O's but life application skills too. I know that is foreign in today's sports world but once upon a time players looked out for players.

    True.
He won't mature. In 3 years he's shown no maturation progress. If a team gives DeMarcus Cousins a max contract, they deserve the disaster. He's an entitled brat who is also a fruitcake.

For a team trading for Cousins, his value is at it's lowest because he has only one year left on his rookie contract before guaranteed big bucks must kick in.

    I sure hope he signs long-term with a team I don't like.
