It's risky, but I think the dude just wants to win basketball games. He's been in an atrocity of a basketball situation his whole career. No coaching, no supporting cast, no ownership. He is a hothead, no doubt, but it's hard to blame him. Whatever team gets him will be very happy. Top 10 talent in the league.
I don't really get the pairing. I love AD. I think Cousins is overrated. But even if not I just don't get the pairing. You do kind of need roster balance. And even if I ended up with a lack of balance I'd rather be outside dominant than inside. And even if I didn't mind the pairing as mich.... Cousins will want a crazy contract. It only makes sense since the Pelicans have so few options to get better fast and keep AD long term, and their offer is so meh if it could really get them Cousins then that makes sense.
this is gonna kill any trade. will the pels gamble 2 first round picks and buddy to rent boogie? no one will take that gamble.
This would be a very very risky move for the Pelicans, i agree about the fit, two terrific talents. but playing together eh...other than that though, if it's true that Cousins will not commit to any team this summer yeah, he could easily leave next year.
They will. "What's two first round picks when we traded one for Omer Asik & were gonna trade another for Jahlil Okafor?" ______________________________ @ChrisMannixYS :Tyreke Evans ($10.2 million expiring contract) has been discussed in a potential Kings-Pelicans swap, league source tells @TheVertical.
Once again: BUDDY HIELD, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, one future first-round pick & one future second for DeMarcus Cousins, sources say This is actually a good haul for the Kings. Good for them.
No ****ing way im giving up that much for a player like Cousins.......especially without a contract assurance in the Summer.
Morey couldn't top that? 3 shooting guards and a couple of picks is enough for the Kings to deal Cousins?
