What you are talking about is how those groups attempted to adopt and pervert what was initially an innocuous thing meant just for laughs. Their whole thing is to spread division, these are not just trolls, these are people that operate on private discord channels, organize, and try their damnedest to spread racist propaganda to convert 'normies' or 'redpill' people into their racist beliefs and it spreads as long as people just pass them off as innocent trolls just looking for laughs. I've just seen enough to know that this is not just for laughs, these are not just trolls, these are people concentrated and spreading a specific message. Again, the context matters. David Duke saying "It's Okay To Be White" is a lot more loaded than Dekker saying it.
