    That's not true.

    DEI is discrimination.

Replacing one type of discrimination with another type of discrimination is not a good thing.

They problem is . . . .when someone has been privileged their whole lives.
. . . removing the privilege "feels" like discrimination

Would you agree with these two sentences:

Nobody should be hired just because of their skin colour.
Nobody should NOT be hired because of their skin colour.

I for one have never been a fan of Affirmative Action, you should get the job if your qualified no matter what your skin color is or your gender or religious affiliation, although you could make a case that some companies were (and still are) using the "good ole boy" way of hiring. Women still make less than men in most circumstances which I dont agree with either. DEI is a different animal at my company, we use it to make sure everyone gets involved in projects as well as after hour`s fun, for example it's not just the marketing team going for a drink, we invite everyone even if they don't come. Some companies take DEI to far, we don't use it as a measuring stick on who to hire, whoever fits the job gets it, I don't care if your white, black, orange, if you can do the job we will take you and I think more companies are taking this approach, its not about DEI, its simply about being fair and biased, we dont need a program to TELL us to do that, its basic decency and good business practices.

Do some companies take it too far, absolutely, but you will always have extremes to any issues, and it doesn't matter if your right, left or independent.

When I first started my career, I worked at a place who promoted an image of hiring the best......but at the end of the day they only hired white college grads who were male and it took me awhile to figure out that our mission statement on being fair and equal was just window dressing and they never adhered to it..................I was pretty young and naive

I started a $10k/year DEI scholarship for URMs just out of spite for this thread title.

    From the totally sane tweet:

What kind of racist human would want to engage in this level of white erasure?

Hell @Reeko this just happened in 2021. The NFL finally stopped race norming and saying black players had a lower cognitive baseline than whites. 2021!

Would you agree with this statement
If left to their own devices people hire those people that they are most comfortable with
and Considering "THEIR KIND OF PEOPLE" have had a hand up for over a century
It's hard to near impossible for some one who is not "THEIR KIND OF PEOPLE" to get hired?
