It may look like NENE had his hand on Dedmon's shoulder, which 4 fingers were, but what you can't see if Nene's thumb is on an extremely lethal area on the artery in the neck. Nene has been trained in top secret ninjitsu and was applying it here. Nene was about 2 seconds away from killing Dedmon. NBA will review this and likely ban NENE for life and possible jail time.
The Spurs were getting embarrassed and the refs wanted to get the momentum back in their favor. If this were Lebron or Steph, no way they eject the player. Expect more of this bs moving foward. The nba/media love Pop too much to allow the Rockets to whoop the azzes on national tv
If the NBA is to be consistent, then Nene should get ejected for the series and Dedmon should get Defensive Player of the Year for his head butt of Harden.
I would love to know what camera angle the refs saw Nene grab his throat on. I sure as hell didn't see it.

Looked like dedmon head butted james, pushed Lou and the ref with some conviction...Nene gave him a light stiff arm, just....in the wrong place? Nene ejected but not dedmon?

Totally Bogus. Nene was separating Harden and Dedmon. His hand might have been a little higher on Dedmon than it should have been, sure, but to get ejected for that? Seriously? Both Harden and Dedmon were more in the wrong than Nene. Oh well- at that point we were up by 30 points and it didn't matter.
I don't see any head butt. What I see is Dedmon minding his own business after the play, and Harden comes jawing at him about something. Dedmon takes offense and gets up in Harden's face. Nene gives him a push to warn Dedmon off his star player, and then everyone comes in to break it up. The push was probably escalation because Harden and Dedmon barking in each other's faces would have fizzled out on its own in a couple more seconds anyway. I'm fine with a technical. Ejection might be a little stiff, but whatever. We won easily enough. I think so.
that cannot be a suspension. i feel since dedmon initiated the headbutt, nene was trying to hold him back. if the league suspends nene, someone from the FO has to file a complaint.
