Smith, Jr. Eason Brooks Porter, Jr. Thompson Will we see this lineup often in the 4th? Particularly when stops are needed for a comeback?
Give him a season and I predict Whitmore would replace KPJ in that lineup. His body type and athleticism put his defensive ceiling almost as high as Bari and Amen's.
Sengun clears Landale on every defensive stat imaginable (and that was with no perimeter defense in front of him). steals, blocks, defensive win shares, defensive box plus/minus...you name it If it had been Brook Lopez, you might have had a point...sadly for you, Brook still plays for the Bucks!
not sure why anyone would put kpj and his low iq, headless chicken defense in a defensive death lineup. replace kpj with jaesean tate if you want more defense
I would expect to see that lineup pretty often, it has potential to be one of the top lineups the Rockets could go with. In fact, the likely best lineup the Rockets could go with would be Jabari (if he can look like Summer League Jabari Eason KPJ FVV Amen (if he can look like Summer League Amen) that lineup would have shooting, defense, creation., athleticism....basically everything.
I don't think Thompson and Brooks should be on the court together...unless you meant for the 'death' in this lineup to refer to our offense.
Yep. Cam can have the same tunnel vision KPj gets except he has the athleticism and God given abilities KPj lacks.
Actual max defense lineup (but it would suck on offense): FVV Amen Brooks Tari Jabari FVV is a much better defender than KPJ
Well Karen, I figured if we can have a 13 page thread about dry humping we can surely discuss prospective lineups for a bit
But yeah I think we could see a lineup like this sometimes as a "closer" lineup for the opposing team's final possession when we're up, or in-between timeouts in a close game at the end of the 4th. And actually, although it's a bad offensive lineup in the half-court, it should be a pretty good transition offense. I think if we call timeout after getting the stop we would sub in a different group to actually try and score, but I'd expect them to be able to get some fast break points pretty easily after some stops.
Tate Brooks Smith Tari Sengun if FVV is healthy and looks spry he can be in there and we can play small or bench brooks/Tate kpj has a change to break in . He’s shown very good flashes . green I think takes another season or two . Sengun I think can take a step this year . He needs to catch his defensive vision / game speed to his knowledge on offense . With all the length and hustle around him I think he can be a big body and soak up boards/ be OK on help and getting helped. I think those 5 plus FVV and kpj and green are the main 8 . Jock and Jeff and Amen will have to beg to expand the rotation . Or maybe they will beat the previously mentioned guys out . But I do think this 5 is viable and if guys move off ball correctly there’s a lot to like there . Tate and sengun and smith all like to pass . Everyone can take it to the rim
You don’t follow up dumb with more dumb. Also, if I was a Karen I would have asked to speak with your manager about this thread already.
Bari needs to bulk up to play the 5 effectively. I have no doubt that eventually he will, but his upper body strength has ways to go. Hit them weights young fella; the future’s bright.
Interesting, there is no doubt FVV is a great defender. Do you think KPJ has the potential to be a great defender, is it an effort issue holding him back? I thought of him in this lineup due to length and switch ability.
