Defense in the 1980s and early 90s were overrated; Therefore so are the players

Outside of LeBron, the Heats are pretty old and unathletic too.

Do not try to tell me that Bosh is athletic. That will not work.

It takes a long time in life to learn to properly assess when you are qualified to assess and comment on something, and when you should defer to the expertise of others.

I believe OP believes what he is selling.

I say stupid **** all the time, too.

No way those weaksauce all-time greats can hang with the likes of the toughness of CP3, Lebron, Wade, DHoward, and Kyle Korver. Lebron can go 1 on 5 with any team pre- 2003.

Did I even mention today's rules vs. rules in the 80s?

I'm talking how players were defended, how in the 80s everyone would sag off of EVERYONE in order to prevent the drive, even if they drive they get tackled and jumped on because players in the 80s didn't understand the concept of versatility or contesting shots. Players played in a era where blocking a shot is as prideful as a goaltend. A player like Javale McGee would be the ideal defender for centers in the 1980s.

You sound dumb as hell. They only tough person you named is CP3. James is the softest star ever. Dwight wouldn't even be an All-Star. Hell, Vince Carter and Chris Bosh are Hall of Fame bound. Speaks volumes about what the NBA is now.

These are the reasons Tim Duncan is still on top of the league and can probably play 3 or 4 more years. He has an old man game and most of these players have no skills today.

If today's Spurs played in the 80s or 90s...kids and dumba$$es would probably say they are not athletic enough to play the athletic teams like OKC, Indiana or Miami. Truth

Umm... Of course defense in the 80s consisted of man to man defense. Because it was basically the only defense that was allowed.

Your comment is about as big of a joke as the op.

    Both pretty silly comments.

I dunno how people watch Lebron and think he's not an all time great. His skillset combined with his athleticism is insane. In some ways it's Bird in Dr. J's body.

It's actually kind of sad but at the same time enlightening to see the levels of denial people reach regarding something as trivial as sports.

I agree! But Dwight Howard and Roy Hibbert would make Hakeem Olajuwon their b**** too! Today's NBA is the best ever. If Kevin Martin was playing in the 80's and 90's he would **** on Michael Jordan and win more championships. Omer Asik would **** on Hakeem and all those overrated centers from 80's and 90's. Today's NBA is tougher more athletic and more beautiful and cleaner too. Old players couldn't hold on today's NBA.
