As Yao Ming, my hero, crashed, crumbled and sidelined for at least the next 3 ~ 4 months, he would definitely be fading out of the limelight in the Western media.

But as usual, there will still be regular coverage/articles on the various Chinese websites about his latest rehabilitation status.

And as I will be out of my job starting March, I most probably will have ample lot of time to keep track and report of his progress in rehabilitation in the future months until I land another job.

Therefore, no matter how I hate all these sh!!!!!!t happening so soon and abruptly that ended Yao Ming's bright and promising season, I have created this thread, .....and will post regularly any news update or translated articles, if possible photos, from Western or Chinese press, of Big Yao during his rehabilitation, just like what I used to do for the summer.

Hope he doesn't get any surgery and suit up for the playoffs.

And shortly after his press conference, Big Yao showed up at the Toyota Centre annoucing the heart-breaking news to his team mates, and stayed on to rave, cheer and support his team mates in the thrashing the Washington Wizards.

 I recommend missionary instead of doggie style. The missionary will relief the force concerntrated on the food arch, instead rest on the knees.

Oh dear, we got a similar thread last year and the year before last. I thought
I would never see another one. I really hope I will not see another such thread again ever. I personally appreciate such thread which allows us to keep up with the progress of his recovery but I hope we never ever need another such thread ever again.

Dont worry, he will be back next year and the Rockets will keep rolling.

I think RA and GM played him too many minutes, IMO.

come on,let's have a faith on Yao's teammates, the Rocket without Yao is still very strong and powerful。I trust that Yao will come back before the final game and win the ring。

They had no choice,as wonderful as Deke is,he is older than before. It was great to see Yao handling bigger minutes with considerable ease as a result of improved stamina. We all hope for the best.

A championship ring would look perfect on Yao's fingers. But for the wedding band, I suppose Ye Li picked it for him, which means the ring stays no matter how ridiculous it looks.

I love how you put in the 2008.

Don't really want to wait for 2009.

My question is, if he plays the same amount of minutes or even more minutes next season - or the seasons beyond - will this injury happen again? Is it inevitable?

He's our top player. He's got to play the minutes, imo.
