What is the basis of your comparison? Looks like it is only based on your sentiment and personal preference. Lin's PER last season especially during the 25 games of Linsanity would beg to differ if you are willing to look.

why bother arguing with Spiegel, he has some serious race issues, was a big hater on Yao as well. plus his basketball knowledge is the equivalent of a 12 year-old

Agreed for the most part, but not Wall (never! jLin owns Wall from since 2010 Summer League), and not Lillard (not yet, though Damien is good. I have him peg to be ROY this year), and honestly, not Lowry (sorry, Houston/Lowry fans).

Remember what Michael Jordan said?!?!?!? NBA is more mental than physical, ask Vernon Maxwell, or Steve Francis. I'd take Lin over most of the PGs because he knows his role on the team, wins over stats. I'm sure Lin would be happy to score 2 pts and dish out 15 assists winning games than score 100 pts and 0 assists losing a game. Our starting PG would love to be Mario Chalmers over Russel Westbrook, being champion holds more value.

how does john wall keep making these lists? he is a horrible pg. a great athlete yes but a terrible point guard. you do realize he had the worst effective shooting percentage in the nba last year right... JOHN WALL IS THE WORST SHOOTER IN THE NBA. 7% from 3... lol

people who list john wall as a top pg really don't watch basketball.

    BZZZZT.

    DOUBLE STANDARD.

You do NOT get to discount Lin's 25 game stats against ACTUAL NBA level competition during a compressed season of 4 and 5 games per week AND still get to use Lillard's COLLEGE Stats against teams where there *MIGHT* be ONE player per team that gets DRAFTED, where they only play 40 games IN TOTAL playing 1 or 2 games per week.

That is a perfect example of the sort of double standard that drives some of us nuts.

The WORST players on a NBA rosters would be top line starters in the NCAA.

If you tossed Lin into the draft in any given year and could give the NBA coaches his stats from his 25 starts as his point of reference, he would EASILY be a top 5 first round pick, if not Top 3 in most draft years.

Tossing Lillard into a discussion of REAL starting PG's after ONE game of the regular season is absolutely ridiculous.

25 games of Near ALL STAR level production from Lin against NBA competition with a target on his back -- Oh no! He's unproven! Wait until he gets scouted! He has too many TO's! He can't go Left!

Lillard - 1 NBA game... He's a beast and better than Lin!

Sorry, if you can't see a problem with that you got some serious issues...

I compare Lin to Wall...since Lin came out about the same time Wall was drafted number 1, and they have played a few games against each other..

albeit one being a summer league game...

and not Rose...even though he did well against Rose their last game head to head...

I think the people mostly over reacting are the haters...

since they are the only people comparing Lin to superstars...

as no Lin poster on here other than the people trolling are comparing Lin to any superstar...

to me he is young talent with potential...

Lol, Jeremy Lin is not better than Wall. John Wall is the most talented PG prospect in the NBA.

Lin is in the tier of PG's like Conley, Felton, Sessions, Chalmers etc at the moment.

Didi you watch the Knicks v. Wizards game last year when Lin was playing? Knicks got the victory and Lin had a much bigger impact on the game than Wall. Lin broke Wall's ankles in that game for a monster dunk. Wall is currently out following knee surgery, and it will take a while for him to recover.

    Lin -- undrafted in 2010
Wall -- #1 player selected in 2010 draft.
Felton -- #5 player selected in 2005 draft.
Sessions -- #56 player selected in in 2007 draft
Conley -- #4 player selected in 2007 draft
Chalmers -- #34 player selected in 2008 draft

I take it as high praise for Lin that he was worked hard enough to go from being undrafted to playing on a similar footing as lottery picks in the NBA.

Bwahaha Wall is the most talented PG prospect. Wow never heard that before. Wall will never realize his potential until the government personally takes him out of Washington until then he is not better than Lin & will never realize whatever this "potential" you are talking about. Wall thinks way to much about himself & showing off & cares less about the team & winning. I'd take Lin everyday all day over Wall.

Eh Wall has a crap load of talent but he will never reach it. His jump shot and three point shot are absolutely horrendous. He make's Lin look like a stud shooter in comparison. At this point it looks like he will end up being a poor man's Rondo. I would much rather have Irving over him. Irving might not have as much "talent" but he is much more likely to reach his talent and he is a great shooter.

Wall was nothing special last season. There is nothing that suggest that he is better than Lin as of right now.

Lin had far more talent around him though.

Hope you're really not trying to claim Lin's better than Irving, Rubio or Wall.

Lin has great work ethic & intangibles. But that can only get you so far. He easily loses to those three in terms of natural talent & potential.
