Blake Griffin had a pretty good write-up on the Players Tribune about the hostage crisis at DJ's house as well: http://www.theplayerstribune.com/blake-griffin-deandre-jordan-story/ What was great about the events on July 8th was that it was the first time we really saw a true timeline of reality vs the social networking sources that we keep hearing about. I mean, Griffin is a prankster so he fed the beast with his Instagram of him sitting on the beach, followed by his storming the mainland in a helicopter, to him blockading the doors at DJs house. But the fact that Griffin was already at DJ's house the night before (the alleged date that DJ told Mark Cuban he was on) and the sources saying that the team is all on a plane to Houston just shows that there's a lot of guessing that these sports writers are taking risks on just to be the first to report. They were all at DJ's house hanging out when it was reported that sources indicate the Clippers will be having a meeting with Deandre in 3 hours. Personally, I think JJ Redick was one of the "sources"
Blake seems like a cool as dude. Hate playing against him but when he isn't playing Houston I root for him
seriously. I'd be like, you know that pappas steak they do for $100? Let's get 5 of those...per person. And some lobsters. And truffle fries.
He explained a lot. DJ regretted his decision and asked his bud if the clippers still wanted him back. The did and all came to show him some family love and see signed the contract.
^ I enjoyed reading/hearing about it from different perspectives: Doc, DJ, Blake, JJ, Cuban, Parsons After how they handled Dwight's last free agency, I'll take any opportunity to hammer just how biased some of the media can be.
Was that supposed to be an apology for ruining a franchise with your lies? Maybe it's just me, but I was expecting something more when reading the title. If I were a mouth breathing Mavs fan, I'd chant Liar over and over rather than booing.
