"MAVERICKS SEEN AS LIKELIEST TO LURE DEANDRE JORDAN FROM CLIPPERS" Mavericks small forward Chandler Parsons, who regards himself to be Dallas' lead recruiter on free agent matters, visited Jordan in Houston last weekend and traveled to Los Angeles immediately after Thursday's draft to spend more time with the big man. http://abc30.com/sports/mavericks-seen-as-likeliest-to-lure-deandre-jordan-from-clippers/813694/
When is Chandler Parson not a lead recruiter. He helped lure Howard here when Howard was a free agent.
ummmmm thats what they said in the article & discussed fegan their agent... stein Retweeted this, so it has some legs
I did not read the article. I went by the little bit by the poster. It said that Parsons is there lead recruiter.
Clippers are in trouble if DeAndre Jordan bolts for Dallas. That said, with Dirk in decline and Monte heading for free agency, Dallas will continue to fade with or without DeAndre.
If Clippers could turn around and find a way to land Tyson Chandler, I don't think it would be that big of a blow to them.
i dont know. chandler and jordan are trending in different directions. but i suppose he has a decent season or two left, this next one being his 15th in the league.
hahaha. Dallas.... So their 2 highest paid players is going to be Parsons and Jordan? This is going to be fun to see Dallas stuck in mediocrity for the next 5 years.
If the NY Knicks are interested, I wouldn't be surprised if the Clippers sign + trade Deandre for a disgruntled Carmelo and figure out how to play without a real center next season.
Melo is not going anywhere. I am not buying that Melo is so mad at the first draft pick from last Thursday that he causes a problem.
For the sake of next season, it might not be so bad with Tyson Chandler. But long term, it's definitely an interesting dilemma for the Clippers. To give Deandre $109M x 5 years seems a bit risky being that he is a liability with the Hack-a-Deandre in effect. I felt the same way about the Lakers giving Dwight a 5 year super-max deal. The Lakers probably felt like they were making an offer on a house they probably shouldn't buy and were demoralized yet relieved when Dwight didn't take the offer. I feel the same way for the Clippers. I don't know that they really want to be locked into such a deal with a player like Deandre but they have no choice to offer it. They have more options in a few years with salary cap increased without Deandre on their books. They may have a chance to squeeze Durant into the mix if they manage correctly.
I can't edit, but what I meant was $109M over 5 years for Deandre. I know a lot of you out there are quick to point out typos.
Hope he doesnt go to dallas, Division is already the hardest in Basketball, Dont need it even harder. Go to the Knicks man
Yeah, nice try Dallas fan. Dallas with Parsons as their primary ball handler is going to be a joke. He's a good ball handler when the defender is closing out on him, but he can't blow by any set defense.
