He's been in foul trouble and it is the second night of a b2b, but yeah, I haven't seen anything that makes me think he warrants the big contract.
And like your buddy we go unfulfilled. But seriously, who can we realistically get that is better? Teams don't let good centers get away. IMO Perkins was traded because of the knee. If he's healthy, he stays in Boston and gets extended. Draft? Not this year or next by the looks of it. Dwight Howard in 2012? I would love that, and signing DeAndre wouldn't preclude that.
Meh. I don't know much about Kwame. This all rests on DeAndre's character. If Morey thinks he's serious about getting better, I say go for it because athletically he has few equals.

Watching dj tonight I'm not sure he is the right fit for this team... Not a very cerebral player... Like... At all...
Chandler is Marcus Camby v2. Great defensive centre but cant stay in the court due to health issues. We just dont need anymore of that in Houston. Going young doesnt mean we need to bring in "projects" like DeAndre Jordan. I hope the Clippers get him so we dont have a chance. There are still young guys who have proven themselves as solid starters in this league. Like Gasol, plus he still has lots of room to improve. Gasol or settle for temporary fix and wait untill we find right piece.
Rockets notes: Clippers' Jordan wanted to be a Rocket By JONATHAN FEIGEN Copyright 2011 Houston Chronicle April 10, 2011, 12:09AM Rocket-to-be? Heading to free agency, 6-11 Clippers center DeAndre Jordan said he grew up dreaming of playing for the Rockets. But he has not thought about it much since. "When you're young, you always think about playing for your home team," said Jordan, 22, who will be a restricted free agent. "Right now, I'm trying not to think about it much. "I'm trying to get better and finish the season on a positive note. When that time comes, we'll deal with the process. "I'm going to enjoy it and try to find the right fit for me. I'm really excited about the whole situation. I dreamed about playing for the Rockets when I was young. I could have been here. "They had a chance to draft me but chose otherwise. We'll see." Jordan was a second-round pick out of Texas A&M in the 2008 NBA draft. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/7515131.html
That was a mistake for the Rockets, a 6'11" born in Hpuston was discarded to overpopulate the SF position.
I'd rather keep Hayes than add DeAndre Jordan. This team does not get much better with him and for anything more than the MLE, forget it.
whether we get him or not, i will be very interested to see what money is offered to DJ. His length and freakish athleticism, as well as his shot blocking prowess make him a great defensive player, but he is still very raw offensively. Apart from using the freak athleticism to dunk, he has very little to his offensive game and is a really bad ft shooter. i would like us to offer money for him, but not huge money - Sterling is a tight ass and might let him go for the right offer.
His the better one on one defender, but does nothing in protecting the rim. Plus his practically 30, compared to DJ whose only 22.
