Has anybody here been following the new Spike show Deadliest Warrior? It's a show where they compared these two warriors that have probably never met and simulate by testing out weapons, to see who would win in a fight. Personally I am following this show religiously I just love the idea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadliest_Warrior
I watched the first one... the Apache vs. Gladiator. It was pretty good. Haven't watched any of the others, though. Actually, I forgot about the show. Green Beret vs. Spetsnaz may piss somebody off. lol.
This show is dumb. The hosts lack charisma, they're just like "WOAHHH COOOL!!!!". The people they bring in to test the weapons are forcing arrogance to feign superiority over the competitor. I'm pretty sure the "doctors" they hired aren't real doctors. The computer simulator is sketchy. Everything about that show is fake. Now is it entertaining to watch? I guess so. On a Saturday with nothing else on TV. I rank it above Lifetime but below Food Network.
At least try to make the show more objective. Nobody wonders how they calculate the probabilities for the simulator? I think it's a random number generator.
Well, considering it's on Spike TV, consider the target audience... a bunch of guys that sit around wondering who would win if a Ninja fought a Spartan. I don't think they really care about variables. They just want to say "ooooh" and "aaaaah" to make up for the lack of "T" and "A" in the show.
The newest matchup between the Green Beret vs. the Spetsnaz might have the best credibility between the matchups, but that's not saying much considering the previous matchups.
I haven't watched the show, but I really wanted to when I saw the promos. Call me a snob, but if a show is not in HD, I rarely watch. I am spoiled, I know. Uverse doesn't have Spike HD yet, so I will wait for it to hit video or Hulu.
This show is great. I can't help but enjoy it when dudes go to town on ballistics gel dummies with tommy guns and nunchuks.
