I agree with everything here, but even with all of that there needs to be upside there that's worth developing. If the best case scenario for Mills to succeed is for the entire team to be elite around him and he needs a clean pocket because he has bad pocket presence and no elusiveness to escape pressure then that's not worth the extremely unlikely scenario where he ends up like Tom Brady. The qbs that are having success after multiple years in the league at least have some traits that they can grow with. They are all much more mobile than Mills at a baseline. As for the miscommunications between receivers and the qb, it's honestly hard to tell because just from the coverage it can go either way, but what I do notice is that Davis doesn't seem to have much vocal fire in communicating with his receivers what they should be doing and making sure they're on the same page. It makes me feel like he might not be a great leader or he's the one making the mental mistakes. Pep certainly isn't helping with the evaluation because the offense looks poorly coached in general.
