So the Lakers would have lowered their payroll while ending up with a trio of Kobe, Bynum and Chris Paul yet the Rockets would have been #1 in the West? Interesting logic.

If Stern truely wanted LA in the finals then he would have allowed the CP3 trade to go through.

Um what? There are plenty of teams in the league that are worse than us. No way we are bad enough to get any of the players you mentioned.... I don't even know why I'm responding to this thread.....

Do you mean the Charlotte Hornets? That's who drafted Kobe and subsequently traded him to LA.

That was actually Stern rather than Kobe that orchestrated that? Does that mean the Steve Francis didn't force a trade from Vancouver and Stern actually sent him to Houston instead? Does that mean that Stern really likes Houston?

The Kings and TWolves didn't need an economic boost?

So if this draft has has stars from 1-15 then what's the problem? There's plenty of stars to go around so there's nothing Stern needs to do. Sounds like everyone in the lottery will get a star, right?

How did he know the Knicks were gonna do bad? How does he know they wont regain confidence with two stars??

They getting off to a bad start but the seasons isnt even half way done and on top of that with their bad play/start they are 8th see so still no lottery pick.

You should really think before typing.

Terrible misconception. This is a top heavy draft. What makes it good is that there are potentially 3 franchise players. It has been said that the 10-20 range was was possibly even better last year. I have no idea how you can say there are 15 stars in the draft. LOL

So let me get this straight. Stern can rig the draft. He is doing so to spite the Rockets. But all we need to do is get lucky in the draft.

    Please......LMAO

The team just beating your expectations? I mean, can't be because the guys in Rockets' jerseys are playing well. No, can't be that...

The list of imaginary things that never happened? Coach Cal liked Kobe but got tricked by West into not taking him is what really happened.

One time at band camp I was abducted by aliens. They released me in the woods where I ran into Sasquatch (Believe it or not he speaks perfect English.) I know it sounds unbelievable but it's true I tell ya!

    I agree with durvasa.

Reminds me of Hutz or Lutz or whatever his name was in terms of intelligence.

Although the comments posted by Hutz /Lutz were allot more humorous.

Let it ride. Like Vernon Davis thanking Mike Singletary years after the coach called him out...the members of this forum through this thread, when we all look back years from now, will have the same effect to this poster.

Stern's main focus is selling the Hornets franchise on the basis that the #1 pick is theirs if they buy.
