if the cavs had not traded wiggins for love, meaning lebron never came to the team. they could have something like irving wiggins towns/okafor/porzingas they could have been a powerhouse in a few years.
I think LeBron gets to the finals last year no matter who is coaching that team. I really don't see how anyone could argue otherwise.
Highly unlikely they have a pick high enough to draft either of the latter 3. The record wasn't abysmal with just Kyrie.
Finals is good enough now? LBJ has already been to so many finals his legacy is already assured on that. What he needs are rings, not finals appearances every year that he doesn't win a ring can be considered a failure for him.
He did win two championships, so I guess he is not too worried about it. He may not be the GOAT, but he will be in the top five when it is all said and done.
No, which is why they fired their coach. As I keep noting which you keep failing to address, it's not as if Blatt looked impressive in Cleveland. His strength is his offensive brilliance but their offense looked as vanilla as ours. His players didn't respect him. He doesn't know when he runs out of timeouts in playoff games. Etc. You are arguing like they fired Pat Riley or someone. Folks have been complaining about Blatt since last season.
If they hired him but does not allow him to implement his system, that just sound stupid. GM must be an idiot. Would someone hire D'Antoni to run a slow grind it out offense?
They hired him before Lebron came in. Before they could let him run his system. After Lebron it is championship or bust.

“Ty wanted the job from the beginning, and LeBron wanted him to have it,’’ an industry source told The Post. “There was a division within the players, but J.R. [Smith], [Iman] Shumpert, even [Kevin] Love sided with LeBron. Kyrie [Irving] was supportive of Dave, but there were a group the last two weeks trying to get him fired.’’ Multiple reports have stated James wasn’t officially consulted right before the ax fell, but last season, sources said, James displayed distaste for Blatt’s overly aggressive personality. James took a leave of absence from the team, ostensibly to rest soreness in his back and knees, but more accurately to get away from Blatt. http://nypost.com/2016/01/22/cavs-whack-coach-david-blatt-as-lebron-gets-his-man/
Give me a break. LeBron did not miss an opportunity to draw the carpet under Blatt feet. Hurting??? That is outright ridiculous.
The more I read and listen, the more my conclusion is that Blatt is a excellent coach with a personality flaw. From Windhorst/Lowe it seems that the idea for speeding the Cavs pace up was Blatt's idea, which coach Lue is now advocating. Only problem was Blatt couldn't get the players to buy in or listen to him. Blatt would make an excellent assistant coach, which he would have been if he had accepted Steve Kerr's offer before he got the Cavs job. If a team is looking to bolster coaching bench assistance, this would be a good pickup. As an assistant he wouldn't be required to deal with controlling the locker room and deal with personalities.
they went to the finals in his first year and have the best record in the East, what more did they want
I think lebron knows doing that in the east is not a big feat for him only to lose every year. It's like getting to the second round in the west. He wants control and knows ty will kneel to him.
