    1) THIS is the kind of thing Stern should step in and regulate.

    2) You never know what DM is going to do, especially if he tells you over and over he's going to do something.

    3) I trust that Morey knows what he's doing, but I really don't want to see this drag out over a few years. Just draft a couple of pretty good players, and let's get on with it.

    Yawn.

This is Howard's last ditch effort to unite with Deron in NYC. It just so happens that the Rockets are the team of the week when it comes to Dwight rumors. If it were someone else, the same "leak" would come out about there being no chance Howard re-signs there.

It's well documented that Howard wants a trade to the Nets by draft night. If it doesn't happen by then, it's all down the drain for him. Thus, he's a desperate man trying to force his way before it's too late. Things will be reevaluated once the Nets are no longer an option. In the big picture, this doesn't change anything.

Oh well. If we continue to persue the Kings pick and land Drummond, keep D-Mo, and sign Dragic, I'd be an optomistic Rockets fan. Maybe keep a late first round pick for Royce White.

It's not the ideal, same year turnaround, but Dragic, Lee, White, Monti, and Drummond... I'd take that kind of young talent over 1 Dwight Howard any day.

Dwight won't walk away from $25+ million - if we get him he either signs here, or we can flip him later for a lot more.

The 5th and 8th pick this year would be nice, but those guys are 3 years away from being a real contributor and if Morey is staying the course, he is probably betting on him enjoying the winning that will come with a good overall roster surrounding him.

Probably a WC finals appearance at least.

Besides the money/Deron bs... Ive always wondered also if this has to do with following in the footsteps of a player like Dream and his legacy he left here.

He can't handle it mentally and is actually scared to play here.

I'm not sure if what I wrote even makes any sense hah

Forget this clown. Let's focus on moving up in the draft. No point in wasting time on a player with a bad back who relies solely on his athleticism to be successful anyway. If Dwight can't jump through the roof anymore he is Dalembert.

It's funny how in the article Aldridge fails to mention who actually says, "there's not a chance Howard would be persuaded to stay in Houston if traded there."

At this point, Dwight's being such a whiny ***** about this whole thing that if we get the two picks with existing players I'd rather have the 4 first round picks and just go ahead and go super young.

If Howard didn't want to stay in Houston, so be it. We should still go for the trade, pull the "from a paperclip to a house" trick.
