Unfortunately no matter who is to blame or if there is any better GM available Morey's job is on the line.
In the first place most new owners get their own GMs. Let alone if their team has been the biggest disappointment in the league.

Tilman decides and determines when Mauri's job is on the line or not.

I swear clutch hears what I say but doesn’t listen. Tilman is a horrible owner, any and every move DM makes HAS to be approved by Tilman. Yes blame DM for signing players who don’t fit our system but blame Tilman even more for forcing DM to work with very little money. I’ve worked for Tilman and he’s a cheap POS.

Yeah start calling names delusional arm chair busboy.

Aside from working for tilman on minimum wage, you have evidence that tilman forced dm to sign mcw?

Quick interjection: When you keep saying 'on the line,' you do mean online?

The Tillman not ****ing around.:D

If we’re in the luxury tax and we’re barely getting into the playoffs and a first-round game is a struggle, then I'm gonna go find me a new general manager.

I'm pretty sure Morey pitched the move to Les and then Tillman as the upside is we well have some legitimate shots in the 1st year or two and then we will likely see decline. Nothing about the likely cost/benefit analysis of this move should come as a surprise.

Morey has made some mistakes, but hes still better than 90% of the GMs in the nba. You dont throw your guy under the bus in his time of need when hes key to your sucess. I stand with Daryl Morey....even in the most disappointing year ive ever experienced as a rockets fan.

Yeah, I've gotta laugh at anyone who thinks Morey's job is on the line. Tilman knows better than to take a flyer on some guy who might ruin the team during Harden's prime years.

My best guess is Tilman wanted to keep both morey and mda because it would cost more if changes.

i think he is an average gm in the west. West won 8 rings in 11 years, he can’t make it to nba finals. He has 8 playoffs appearences in 11 years. Now his job is tougher than before because of bad contracts.
Mavs and spurs are small markets, but they have better gms and better coaches.

If he fires Morey he is a idiot. We will become the new Suns organization.
