Right, during that Portland series it became clear Morey probably would lead this team to championship contention. McHale is a garbage coach and should have been gone after last year but he is an extension of Morey pretty much.

its very likley hes involved in some type of trade. Remember last season before AB was traded? he rode the bench and poof he was gone.

He isnt the golden boy many make him out to be. Teams would kill to have Harden and Dwight. He is wasting the two of them by getting gready and trying to get a 3rd star. Keeping McHale and not building a bench will cost Houston a championship.

    1. Morey is responsible for Moreyball style of play (i.e. increase the variance, layups & threes, draw fouls get to the line, etc).

    2. Morey is responsible for this past offseason (#pursuit of 3rd star).

    3. Morey is responsible for our PG void (pursing Melo instead of Lowry, refusing player option for Dragic, signing Lin, etc.)

    4. Morey is responsible for valuing 'flexibility' more so than roster depth.

    5. Morey is responsible for Black, Dorsey, DMo as fake bigs off the bench.

    6. Morey is responsible for not hiring a LEGIT defensive assistant.

    7. Morey is responsible for retaining Kevin McHale.

    MOREY MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

    No more excuses Morey.

We know it's early in the season but we are losing games we shouldn't be losing. McHale needs to get a grip on this team and shore up the nonsense amongst the bench and Howard missing games.

Yeah, I just don't believe in Morey's philosophy anymore.

I don't think McHale is a great coach and definitely would love to get someone else (don't know why we ever let Rick or JVG go), but the reality is that our bench sucks. Our back up bigs are just not very good. D-Mo has shown pretty good defensive improvement, unfortunately it seems like he has regressed offensively. Black and Dorsey are 3rd stringers.

After that our depth dies. We really need one real sixth man off the bench. Pap is still learning the NBA system and as much as I love his game, he is too inconsistent still. Terry, he is just old, can't play with the same energy he use to when he was younger.

Morey is responsible for Harden and Howard. Game over, son.

we were out of timeouts with 26 seconds still left. Why he used a timeout while we were up two points with 1:43 still left on the clock is ridiculous. and then a Tarik black post up in the clutch??? We need a brain on the sideline. The MILUWAKE BUCKS are playing better basketball than we've been playing recently. Teams clog the paint harden can't do **** and when he kicks to shooters athletic defenders have no problem closing out since no one can pick up their damn dribble. how embarrassing is it that they talked about how progressive this organization is in analytics then they lose to the lakers.

for the first time in 7 years, i'm questioning what he's trying to do with this team

yeah you get howard and harden...it doesn't mean **** if you can't accomplish anything with them...

maybe we should've just stuck with asik and parsons...there's some depth right there

Championship teams are comprised of more than 2 marginal superstar players.

Winning the offseason does not equal winning the postseason.

    Game over, son.

We weren't going to go 80-2. Every single season every team has letdown losses. I don't even consider this as a letdown loss. We're top-heavy on skill. Take Dwight and Jones out, and losing a close game to the Lakers really isn't a big deal in the long run. Just get everyone healthy for the playoffs.

All of this is actually true (and some aren't really bad things necessarily) except for #6.

Even if you don't think TR Dunn knows his defense (and he does), the Rockets defense this year hasn't been the problem.

And we should also note that Morey can redeem himself if he actually makes good on the flexibility. I need to put last years team side by side to the team that gets put together by next July.

Morey is definitely being held accountable dude. He's what is talked about and criticized the most inside and outside of Houston along with Dwight and Harden. Those are the top 3 targets for criticism daily. Nobody is giving him a pass believe me. However that doesn't mean people want to fire him midseason before he can make good on the deals he might or might not have lined up.

He did good getting Dwight and Harden, but he's wasting their years together with his obsession with flexibility.

We were 9-1. Now we're 9-3. And believe me, we're way more likely to drop in the standings than remain where we are. Look at our upcoming schedule. Even if Dwight returns healthy and remains in the lineup, there are serious issues affecting this team that aren't going to magically go away. And it can't all be pinned on McHale(although he is a horrible coach). Morey has to do something soon to shore up the front court. And he needs to threaten McHale with a firing if he ever plays Cisco over Canaan again.

Who was he supposed to have gotten once Bosh chose not to sign in Houston?

Last season, do you think he was supposed to take the best deal available: Bass, Lee, and a pick for Asik?

Who was Morey supposed to go get? The league isn't that deep with good players that teams just give away like that, and the Rockets really don't have that many assets to trade for players despite what folks here believe.
