Steve Patterson may have people issues at Texas, but I appreciated that he hired Shaka Smart and brought beer to the stadium and the all you can eat buffet at the Terrace Club.

He's still the architect of the Rockets championships. He hired Rudy T, drafted horry, etc

I don't have much confidence when Morey gets first round picks. He has proven to be a mediocre to poor drafter

Waiting for him to draft another 1st round bust just like he did with WHite and Dekker and Mook over Kawhi

 

How is Dekker a bust? He has been injured and who would you have prefer over him?

I don't have a problem with Morey other than his choosing McHale. Waste of f'ing time and now he HAS to promise potential to keep his job.

His choice of replacement for McHale was the head defensive assistant for a defensively failing team. Gave in to Harden, who now clearly was pissed at McHale for calling him overweight. Replaced him with a guy who's good friends with the players, making him unlikely to command their respect.

What's really ****ty about it is that McHale kept overachieving, making it hard to justify firing him.

Big mess. I have no patience for a rebuilding process anymore. Even if we strike gold this summer, we won't win it the first season after acquiring another major piece because now we also have depth issues coming up. Ugh.

To think I was expecting a championship run and now we look forward to a 15th pick and MAYBE someone decides to join a mediocre western conference team. Man. Please prove me wrong Morey.

McHale isn't the coach anymore and W. ain't the president... May want to look in-house for the issues on the team and a guy doing spots on TNT isn't on that list.

ClutchFans is the only place that thinks Morey is a great GM and McHale is an awful coach. It is obvious by listening to ANY peer talk about the two that the league perception is the inverse, but people here are way smarter than those actually involved in the game...
