Am I the only person on the face of the planet who gets annoyed with these rules changes arguments,

Everyone forgets Illegal Defense rules.

"Back in the day" you just cleared out for ISO. It was so easy, Rudy T embarrassed the league with Moochie ISOing so successfully, they changed the rules due to Rudy. Now, with zone principles (and the NBA finally being able to invent new state-of-the-art defenses never seen before), you can force these guys to pass, and give them much worse traffic to go through.

But Hand Checking wipes that all away, right?

Please do not say ISO was harder in the day of clear outs, without addressing the freedom defenses have now at clogging the lane without Illegal Defense rules ... this is why the league went on an arms race of drafting 3&D players ... both to open the lane and to finally take advantage of defensive freedom.

 

if anything harden would be more dominant with more physicality allowed and he gets the same number of calls in plaoyfss as in RS

on the other hand do not underestimate hardens uncanny ability to adapt to change in the rules

they changed the rules this year to slow him down and he got even better! imagine that!!?

you mean when the league and the refs spent the whole summer changing the rules to limit harden but ended up unleashing him to another level?

there's a reason why teams with only 1 superstar can easily be stopped in the playoffs

Thank u people just dont watvh basketball. To me i think james game would be better bavk then. Remember he has a old mans game. The stuff he does now is the stuff they used to do. Where do u think he learnt them from. Stockton hell jordans highlight is a push off. Tge grabbing would favor james. Hes a tank. N remember zone defense limit guys that like to drive to tge basket. Without it james would feast at tge rim. I think guys like curry durant would have a harder time in that era then james
