The rockets saying it is not an official rockets statement is no biggie.
Doesnt mean rockets are communist or bowing down.

Morey didnt apologize the rockets said it wasnt an official statement and thats that. Usa sucks in many ways but one of the great things is people can have an opinion and voice it. Morey probably wont be saying too much political going forward since it puts everyones panties in a wad.

He could pull a kapernick and wear a hong kong freedom patch and that would be his right. I think thats the part the chinese dont get.

If he had inappropriate things that are wrong like child p*rn then yeah he needs to resign. Feelings on hong kong shouldnt mean jack

Everytime you hear something you don't like, you squirt racism out of your bunghole.

    Stop being a vage.

Actually I think he started to learn how to ‘copy the American value’ on social media.

    Lol.

They said support and dissapointed in the same text?

Since they created a fake chinese text trying to play two countries for fools, they could have ommited it.

Being treated equally as US fans means you can hear things you don't like but respect the right to say it.
US fans are treated to a barrage of insults to their president by multiple players and coaches.

If Chinese fans want to be treated equally then we should also insult your president apart from HK.

Actually the Chinese version of the announcement is very soft and more apologetic, but in this era, everyone knows how to read your original text in English. Hence why they can’t really please the angry fans there.

All that are separate issues unfortunately.

It's like you are saying don't believe in Allah, Christ is the true god. That's a separate issue. At the moment, they believe different things.

When someone else, (Donald Sternling) touched your belief, he was 'fired'. Whether your belief is correct or not is a different thing, you are not going to make them believe your belief.

They demand to be treated the same? Funny sh’t.

Go check out their social media like Weibo and Wechat, it’s 100% ok to post anti homosexual, anti religion, racist discrimination craps, and also made up fake news to attack the so called western evil powers.

While Morey was posting on the social media in a free country and perfectly fitting the value of the people here.

And you want them to be treated fairly?

No you said you want to be treated equally.
    Then I will help you.

Xi Jinping is in charge of China. that's disgusting. He's like an 8th grade bully. You can't believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

You just received equality with US fans. The Popovich treatment.

    You are welcome.

Yes exactly. To them, anti-religion racism etc are no big deals. To them Hong Kong independence is the big deal. They have different beliefs.
You believe God, they believe Allah. You are not going to convince them otherwise. Not at the moment anyway.

And everyone wants to be treated fairly, regardless of what they believe.

If you want to talk about fair, then they need to understand freedom of speech is the basic and most important value in here.

Just because you are not allow to speak, you have no rights to demand others to keep quite.

We don’t give a sh’t about how racist and discrimination value that you may have, then just leave us alone on whatever we want to say.

They are not satisfied with the Chinese text, and they are extremely upset on the English version because of the word ‘suppprt’.

The chinese official announcer called Lebron a monkey recently. Why hasn't the CBA and the chinese government issued a formal apology to americans? It crosses american bottomline.

Well exactly. What Morey said is akin to what you siad. You can replace Xi Jinping with Allah, Jessus, the city of Houston whatever.
I agree with the content of what you said bnd unfortunately that's inappropriate for Morey to say that.
I might agree Houston is a disgusting place, but Morey shouldn't say that, it's his fanbase.

China represents over a billion dollars of revenue for the NBA. If they say, let morey go or we cut you off, the NBA could very well fold.

    It's about fairness.
If the announcer attacked a white guy and apologized but he doesn't need to for a black guy then that's a problem.

Regardless, you can boycott the announcer like what they are doing right now.

And honestly, we are all grown ups and there is no need to sugarcoat this sh’t.

If this tweet is related to countries like Indonesia or Vietnam?

What kind of announcement you think the NBA will make to the public?

    ‘Fork off’.

We all know that the NBA understand China is a big market and somewhat you will need to bend over and cover this sh’t under the rug.

However, on the other hand, if they don’t support the basic value of this country, then no matter how much money you are going to make from China, you are not going to make your own audience happy.

So which is the more important market? The US or China?

It is still a business decision whatever you want to label it, but it is a rational one.

    Again with a persecution complex.

This is about those that live in Hong Kong wanting basic liberties and rights, like elections. This has nothing to do with the CCP.

If China should feel humiliated about anything it is that the party of Mao rules and has stripped away every liberty and freedom in China. Then again 45,000,000 dying at the hand of Mao wasn’t enough to cause change so I doubt nothing will.

I also have a lot of respect for the NBA and Morey. The league supported his right to his opinion and Morey didn’t apologize for something he shouldn’t have to apologize over.
