    I just sent an email with my 2 cents. Just said we are known for coaching up big-men and his game would develop nicely here. Also mentioned the quality of our players and coaches, team-oriented play, great fan base, new arena, etc. And also, no state tax so he can keep more of his hard-earned money.

    I told him even if Yao comes back, he is only going to play around 30mins or so, so that still leaves around 20mins for you. Unlike backing up DHoward where he plays like 45 mins a game and leave you with 5 mins :D

    Yes. We own Artest's Bird rights and are allowed to exceed the cap to pay him whatever we want. But when recruiting free agents from other teams, we're pretty much limited to the MLE.
